(AUSTINS POV)
this chapter is sorta boring soo erm!!The bright light hit my eyelids before I could even fully wake up. I forgot I was sleeping at Jared's house, so the brightness startled me.
Rubbing my eyes, I sit up on his bed, noticing Jared was not beside me like he was the night before. I glance down at the number of bags of chips that was once on the bed— now knocked down onto his floor.
I reach for my phone that I sat on the floor before we watched the movie yesterday— checking for any missed calls or texts from my dad.
Nothing.
My gaze quickly goes to the door— hearing the doorknob twist. As it opens, Jared enters the room; a towel wrapped around his waist.
My eyes trail down his body, taking in his figure— his wet hair.
His eyes widened slightly seeing me.
"Ah— I— I'm sorry, I didn't know you'd be awake." He stammers, a small tint of pink taking over his face.
My gaze lands on his face, as I give a subtle smirk. "It's fine." I assure, shrugging. "Nothing I haven't seen in the locker room before."
Jared hesitates before walking fully into the room. "Right— I— I forget we have track together."
My eyes follow his body as he walks around the room, digging in his closet; which was parallel from his bed.
His figure was so..
My eyes follow down his back, admiring every curve of his body, and back up to the back of his head. "How could you forget getting your ass whooped in every race we have?" I tease.
He replies with a slight chuckle. "Got me there."
Jared pulls a sage green knitted sweater vest and a white long sleeve shirt out of his closet.
"What do you think of this?" He asks, showing the outfit to me with one hand— and his other making sure the towel on his waist doesn't fall.
"It looks gay." I reply. "But whatever floats your boat, Gopher."
He sighs, grabbing some tan pants out of his dresser.
"Can you uh—.. turn around maybe?" He asked. "Or you know, I'll just change in the bathroom-"
"No— no it's fine." I smile "Change here. I'll turn around." I turn my face away, and I assume Jared begins changing his clothes.
A few moments past, and can't resist the urge to look. I take a small glance at him, as I catch him putting on his top. I get a small glimpse of his chest, before he pulls down his shirt fully. I quickly look away before he can catch me staring.
"Okay, you can look now." He says.
I look at him, as if I wasn't just staring at him. My eyes trail down his body once more; landing back on his face.
"It's definitely an outfit."
He rolls his eyes, placing his hands in his pockets. "So.. what are we doing today?" He asked.
"I don't know, whatever you wanna do." I shrug. "I don't know when my dad wants me home— if he even wants me home at all."
Jared gives a soft smile, as he walked over to the bed; where I was still sitting on. "Hey— I mean.. feel free to stay however long you want. I don't really care— and Im sure I could convince my mom to let you stay as well."
I stare at his face; admiring every feature of it. His green emerald eyes looked at me so sweetly— he looked at me like nobody's ever done before. He had the most perfect nose— and his lips were the perfect shade of pink; so soft looking.
