If we ever decided to go, would these apparitions follow?
If we came back, would they be here tomorrow?
Oh, joy. The sound of a scream makes her giggle, taking in every feature of that sound of sorrow. Darling thing she is, wearing her depleted innocence abroad. Sweet little creature, so weary and weak. Oh, come now, let her play, the poor thing's all alone. Take this, here take it I say! It's yours to keep now child. Merrily skip away, waving to all their hidden intentions. Oh, darn you! Now it just won't go away! Tell me how to make it better, so I can fix it. Please, tell me how to make it go away! Feel imperative to doubt all accusations. Just don't stay there and wait for me anymore, for there's no need to ask questions for answers you've always known. But maybe someday, in the distant future, the past will learn to stay in its place. And maybe this time, a butchered soul and a blunt criteria of their tortured minds will be enough to rattle the chain and shake you free. Oh, sweetheart...
