That's Kinda Hot (A.I. Short Story)

I was so startled by the site of him that I tripped over the suitcase and fell on one of the bean bags. Ashton started laughing. He was now in the room with me and offering me a hand up. 

"Sorry I didn't mean to startle you I just wanted to know why you're in this house?" He asked.

"Oh well... you see... umm..." I stuttered.

"Wow this is a cool room. I thought this whole place was being refurbished? And how did you get up here?"

"Well it was but this was the only room that they didn't touch before they abandoned it. My friend and I have been coming here for several years and we added our things to make it our home away from home. I left my phone here earlier so my friend and I- oh shit!" I ramble until realizing I forgot about Kath. "Well I have to go now." 

"Wait what's your name?"

"Oh I'm Quinn. Well see you later." I say walking out of the room.

"Wait! Can I come with you? I'm not too fond of the ladder they set up." Ashton asked.

"Sure." I said leading him to the stairs. I started walking down and Kath says "Well that took you long eno- Wait how did he get up there?" 

"He was on the roof and saw me." I say.

"Why were you on the roof?" Kath asks.

"We're filming for the She's Kinda Hot music video." Ashton says.

"Your What!" She screams.

"Calm down! Sorry about her. She's a really big fan of you guys." I say.

"Pft you're one to talk." Kath retorts. 

I shoot her a look as i unlock the door and lead us out into the kitchen. I lock the door behind us and turn to Ashton. "Well it was nice to meet you but we have to get going." I say as my phone starts dinging with texts from my mother demanding that I come home now. 

"Oh," Ashton says frowning, "Well it was nice to meet you. If you guys want we have to shoot a scene in the street around 9 and I know they wouldn't say no to more extras if you're free.."

"That would be amazing! We'll definitely see you later! Thank you!" Kath says as she takes my arm and drags me out the back door. 

Over at the snack table there are two guys with their backs to us as they munch on the food. At the sound of the door shutting they turn around and I see its Luke and Calum. 

"Hey who are you?" Luke asks as we walk towards them.

"I'm Kath and this is Quinn." Kath grabs another slice of pizza and a juice, "And were leaving now. Bye!" She says as she walks back toward the tree leading to my yard. 

The both have looks of shock on their faces. I giggle at their expressions and they turn to me with a look of confusion. I shrug my shoulder and follow Kath back to my house.
