He really left me on seen but than I wouldn't be surprised considering the fact that I really took him by surprise.
I'm really hurt to say I never saw it coming especially from him.

Sigh.

I jolt out of my bed as my alarm goes off indicating that it's time to wake up and get my daughter ready for school.

I look around my apartment and take a moment just to calm myself down from all the emotions that I'm feeling right now, I remember looking at the message that I had wrote to him as all the different emotions started to get to me.
Probably it was the pregnancy hormones.

I sit up taking a glance at my daughter who is spread out on the bed like she is living rent free and has no problems.
Chuckle, of course she's living rent free, laughing at the stupid thought of mine.

Knowing very well that waking her up is going to be a hell of a mission.

"Pumpkin" I say as I shake her trying to wake her up.

"Mmh"

"Pumpkin wake up its time to go to school "

"Nooooo mommy" as she whines.
She always does this especially when she has to wake.

"Come on baby please don't give mommy a hard time. I promise I will give you some ice cream ge o bowa skolong" [when you get back from]

I cannot believe I just made that promise to her because I know very well that when she gets back she'll be sing the song ice cream the entire day.

She opens her eyes and rubs them with her chubby hands.

"Morning morning " she says.

"Morning baby"
"Did you sleep well"

"I did mommy, how are my bunnies doing mommy "

I chuckle as she mentions the little fighters in my stomach.

"They are also doing well pumpkin"

"Let's get ready for school yeah"

"Yes mommy "

We get off the bed and neatly do the bed together. This has always been our routine every day ever I could remember. We walk of to the bathroom to brush our teeth and wash our faces too, take a bath and get the day started.

Finding something for her is easy as she always wears her school t-shirt and a Jean with a pair of white sneakers.
And I settled for a nice yellow floral dress and my morning sleepers.
I tie her afro in a nice high bun and I decide to do a messy bun with my knotless braids. I grabbed her backpack and my phone and we walk to the kitchen.

We both settled for brown porridge, this is something that I can stomach for breakfast and not actually throw it out after eating it.

"Mommy will you really get me ice cream when I get back from school "

I knew that I was never going to hear the end of it.

"Yes baby don't you worry, you will get it and I will get your favorite ice cream don't worry my pumpkin "

Beep beep

I know that's Aquila's transport outside.

We both walk outside to her transport.

"Sawobona Ntombi"[Good morning] that's Bab'Nkosi Aquila's transport drive.

"Sawobona Bab'Nkosi, unjani?" [Good morning Mr Nkosi, how are you?]

"Ngiyaphile wena unjani?" [ I'm good and how are you ?]

"Nam ngiphilile Bab'Nkosi" [I'm also doing good]

"Goodbye pumpkin have a wonderful day " as I send of my goodbyes to my daughter.

"Bye bye mommy I love you"

"I love you too "

I watch as the mini bus drive off out of the complex that we live in. I walk off back to my apartment and clean around the little mess that's been made in the house.

Around 10am I was done with everything and was preparing to go to the mall.

Later on my ride arrived and tool me straight to Midrand Shopping center.

Grocery shopping has never been my favorite, the cost of living is way to high. Quality products are way too expensive and yet that's what we all go for.
Woolworths.

Sigh, as I look at the full trolley in from my pregnant self. I didn't waste any time and paid all my items and left immediately.

I decided to head to steers to grab something to eat for both me and Aquila because I definitely know that I won't cook supper when I get home because I would be tired and all.

I ordered 5 Mjojo burger and some large ribs because I've been craving them.

Not long after my order was called and I was ready to go back home.

As I exit the mall and wait for my ride back home I sat down on the bench and placed my trolley besides me.

"Sawobona Ntokazi" I know that voice. He was the only person that greeted me that way.

Lifting up my head I saw my worst nightmare as my heart started to raise.
