They had been searching for clues for months, and surprisingly, the clues all led back to you.

The task force had decided to torture you until you confessed. You were bleeding, shaking, trembling, and protesting at the top of your lungs that you didn't say anything to anyone, but nobody believed you...

Until they caught the real traitor red-handed. Everyone felt sick as they watched you suffer...

Ghost was affected the most.

Y/N's mind got affected badly by that torture she had to endure for weeks on end. Her facial expression is not like anything she has shown before; a blank expression with a hint of anger.

Y/N had once been a sweet girl, now an empty shell of what she once was.

The tortures inflicted by the task force, the pain, the betrayal...all of it changed her. Her mind was completely twisted and broken, and she was nothing like she used to be. Now she only feels anger and hatred.

Y/N has always been a kind and gentle person, someone who helps people get back on their feet without a cost; them betraying her trust has taken a huge toll on her sanity and does not talk to anyone who tries to, only to be greeted by an extremely angry look.

Ghost's pov:

Ghost's face was grim as he watched Y/N become an empty shell. She no longer had any trace of kindness in her eyes, she was cold and distant towards him and the rest of the team. It hurt Ghost to see her that way, he just wanted her to be the sweet person she was before.

He had always been there for her, but now she seemed to hate him. He didn't know what to do, and it made him feel powerless and helpless. He just wanted to make everything right.

Y/N stood up from the bed, looked at Ghost with a blank stare and said "If we're not going to talk, can I go now?"

Even if Y/N was an empty shell of who she was, she still doesn't want to be with someone who hurt her to this extent.

Ghost looked at Y/N, the pain evident in his eyes.

"Y/N! wait. Please, don't-"

He tried to stop her, but she had already started walking out before he could say anything else. She looked back at him, and there was no emotion in her eyes. All Ghost could do was watch her walk out, his heart breaking with every step she took.

He was left feeling alone and helpless.

Y/N opened the door and left, not even looking back; she treated him just like they had treated her, like a traitor who only tells lies, a traitor who doesn't deserve to be trusted.

Ghost stood there for a moment, torn between following her and letting her go. He didn't know what to do.

Was the woman he knew and cared about gone? Was she the same sweet woman he had known, deep inside?

He wanted to reach out to her, to show her that he was on her side, that he couldn't bear for her to suffer anymore. But he didn't know if she would listen.

He just wanted her to be safe.

"Ghost's pov:*
Ghost went to check on Y/N in the morning, not being able to sleep; worrying about her. Only to see an empty room, all her belongings and things gone; with an open window.

Did she leave? Where did she go? Did she get hurt?

Many thoughts and questions spiral in Ghost's head; yet none were answered.

Ghost rushed to the window and looked outside, searching for signs of her. She was nowhere to be found. He took in the sight of her room, completely empty of the woman he loved. He felt overwhelmed with sadness and regret at what he had done to her.

I forgive you. (Ghost X Y/N)Where stories live. Discover now
