It has been 2 hours since the death of my brother

I've been sitting in the kitchen

In the dark

Alone

The house is quiet

No one but me in the house

All alone

And no family

I was staring blankly at the wall. Feeling the tears continuously fall down my face.

Not knowing what to do other than to cry. All I could hear was the slight ringing in my ears.

I awoke to hear a loud alarm come from somewhere. I sat up confused and in a slight daze.

Looking around, I realized I was in the kitchen. Looking around once more, I saw that it was my phone alarm going off on the counter. Getting up, I turned off the alarm and saw that it was 12:03 in the morning.

At this time, I was supposed to be getting ready for work.

But honestly, the only reason I ever went to work was because of my family. It was all for my family, and now that I have none, there is no point in going.

I trun away from my phone to look around the house. It was dark. The only lights being on were in the kitchen.

Walking out of the kichen, I went to my mom's room. Opening the door, I went straight to her closet. Looking for I metal safe I had put in when mother first was in the hospital.

The safe contained a few stacks of cash and some important things I wanted to keep safe.

Grabbing the safe, I left mom's room to go up the stairs to my room. Walking into the already opened door, I took out a suitcase and backpack from under my bed.

Opening my suitcase, I put clothes notebooks and hoodies in. I then opened the backpack, turning to the safe. I put the stack of saved up money inside and a framed picture of the whole family.

The picture was taken on the day when we were all happy. No one was fitting or angry with each other. Though I have a feeling that even if we were made at each other, we wouldn't want to ruin it for mom. It was her birthday, after all.

Sighing I gently placed the frame in a secured place so that it wouldn't brake in the bag.i then grabbed the stacks of cash that was supposed to be for this months rent and put it in my bag. Grabbing some extra notebook pins and pencils, I threw them in the bag, sipping it up and putting it right next to the suitcase.

I stood from my bed, grabbing the last pair of clothes on the bed. Which was an oversized hoodie and leggings.

Clenching the clothes, I slowly walk towards my restroom room door. Resting my hand on the handle, I slowly turned the nob stepping in and closing the door behind me.

Turning towards the mirror without looking at it, I gently placed the clothes down on the counter. Looking at my hands, I saw them dirty with dirt and little specs of dried blood. Not my blood but my brothers.
