"Hoy, akala ko ba sabay tayo maglalakad?" He says as he catched up to me "You're so annoying!" I bursted
I was also the second highest in projects and quizzes in every subject I had. I'm freaking stuck in second place. I'm Top. 2 in the whole school. I'm practically a walking second place medal
"Oh, galit ka nanaman sa 'kin" He replied "Wala naman akong ginagawa ah"
"I'm a walking second place medal" I grunted "I'm always the second highest and I'm Top. 2, you think I'm fine?"
"Calm down" He said
"Shut up! I'm trying so damn hard and you just don't understand that I-" "Calm down, Ellie" He cut me off and my brows furrowed
How? How does he know my nickname? Only my closest friends and relatives call me Ellie. Did Eloise tell him?
"It's not my fault...that I'm smarter than you" He smirked and walked away from me
I scoffed. I couldn't believe it

After dinner at the school cafeteria, I immediately took the girls to Eloise' dorm
"Ano ba kase nangyare?" Eya asked me "Naiinis na 'ko kase lagi nalang ako pangalawa sa lahat" I said as I sat down on the side of Eloise' bed
"Dahil kay Xavier, lagi nalang ako second highest" I added "Okay lang yan 'te" Eloise replied "Atleast ikaw yung first choice" Eloise teased
"Ayie, sana all" Scarlett teased
"You should talk to him" Scarlett said "Talk to him about getting married" Melody added and the girls teased me more
"Nakakainis na kayo" I told them "Hayaan mo na, Ellie" Eloise replied "Nakakakilig kase kayo eh" She added
"Nakakakilig? Wala nga kaming ginagawa eh" I was annoyed "Parang academic rivals to lovers" Melody teased
"Ay, oo nga" Eloise agreed with Melody
"Ikaw nagsabi sa kaniya 'no?" I turned to her "Nagsabi ng alin?" Eloise asked me "Tinawag ako ni Xavier na 'Ellie' kanina" I answered
"Hoy" Eya suddenly said "Alam niya nickname mo"
The girls suddenly became noisy "Shuta, nakakakilig kayo!" Eloise teased.
"Palagi nga sila magkatabi during class, eh" Eloise added. "Sabi mo dapat pareho tayo ng course pero ba't siya palagi mo katabi during class?" Eloise turned to me
I went silent. To be honest...Hindi ko nga alam ba't lagi ko siya tinatabihan during classes
