Lorelei's POV:
I slide the door open and rush to where Freya kneels down by the children.
As I take in the view in front of me, panic starts to fill me as I realize what's actually happening. I look from one child to the next. Each lying still. The spell should have stirred them.
They aren't waking up.
I look at their chests, begging them silently to move. Plead for them to just open their eyes.
Anything.
They aren't breathing.
Freya looks up at me, her eyes filled with tears. I fall to my knees and sob.
No.
No no no.
It didn't work.
They didn't make it.
I struggle to catch my breath and I feel like I'm going to throw up. It feels like the Earth has gone out from under me. I see Elijah carrying Hayley, Shawn dead on the ground.
All those kids...
Klaus's POV:
I look around for Lorelei. I just got told by Freya that the unlinking spell didn't work on time. Elijah carries Hayley to the sedan and I open the door. He lies her down in the back and I take off to find my girl. I move towards the woods in the direction she took off but all I find are shreds of her clothing.
I move forward to go after her when Elijah speeds in front of me and holds out his arm, blocking my path. I stand there fuming.
What the hell is he doing?
"I need to be there for her Elijah!" I snap and try to push past him
He grabs me firmly by the arm and pulls me back in front of him.
"I don't believe that is a good idea." He says
"Did you see what the bloody hell happened brother?!? Now she's all alone in the woods." I argue
"Nikklaus I beg you, listen. Lorelei has just experienced a tragedy that I would wish upon no one. This was her plan and it failed. Three children just died as a result."
My expression turns even more serious. I jab my finger in his face, angered at him implying in any way that this was her fault.
"This is not her fault." I growl
"She won't believe you. She'll come home when she's ready. Right now we need to attend to our wounded."
He moves back in the direction of the car and turns, waiting for me.
"Come brother."
