Anger & Reassuring

*The Next Day*
*Morning in the Squadroom*

Elliot brings over his & Olivia's coffee like he always do. When El gives it to her their eyes lock for a few seconds. Fin kicks Munch from under their desks. Munch makes a groaning noise. Liv & El quickly look away, him going back to his desk.

*Two hours later*
Fin & Munch had gone to get a victims statement at the hospital

*Squadroom*

Kathy barges in pure anger & hate in her face

She came up to stand by El & Liv's desk

"Hey Kath" said Liv but confused & trying to read this woman.

"We need to talk." Kathy says to Elliot ignoring Olivia so much anger in her voice

"What's up?" Asks Elliot softly not wanting to bring anymore attention than it already was

"In private! Why would you think it's okay to let Liv know what's going on in our lives. It's our lives." Kathy said to him still not acknowledging the fact that Liv was there

"Okay let's go to the cribs." Elliot says still softly, going with whatever, not trying to grab more attention

Liv was at her desk staring. Her look dumbfounded, but her feelings were like a little kid who just got rejected she was angry & sad all at the same time.

Elliot got up & led Kathy to the cribs.

"What the hell Kathy. You just embarrass me like that? In front of everyone?"

"So sad. Like that's the point here." "Elliot you punished Maureen without coming to me first. It's a two people's thing. We have to make decisions together!"

"Well I'm sorry. Didn't think giving my daughter some discipline was in the rule book on what not to do." El said sarcastically.

Kathy looked at him with a blank expression on her face
"That's nice."

"What?"

"Elliot, why haven't you signed the divorce papers yet?" "You won't talk to me, you won't talk to my lawyer, the kids are asking if we're getting back together. I've run out of things to say!"
*There was a pause*

"I don't know. Kathy my kids are my life. You know that!"

"And you can have them whenever you want."

Elliot just stood there looking at the ground

A minute later Kathy brushed past his side. "Sign the divorce papers Elliot." Then walked out the room

When she got back to passing Olivia, she gave her a look that had so much hate in it

Olivia was shocked & a little scared. But she knew what the thought has been for years on if something were going on between her & Elliot.

It had been awhile since Kathy left, and Elliot still hasn't came out of the cribs yet.

Liv went to the cribs to make sure he was okay. She found him sitting on the bed eyes watery. Him staring into her eyes like he was desperately falling apart. She'd never seen him this way before, it hurted her to  see him like this.

She kept his gaze on her as she walked over to him & sat on the bed he was sitting on and put her hand above his knee on his leg

"You okay?" She said softly as can be

"She's officially ready to move on."

"Maybe it's for the best."

"But for my kids' sake, I don't want them in a torn apart environment." "Especially Eli. He deserves better than that."
