Lorelei's POV:

Late in the night I climb out of bed and listen intently.

Who knows what'll happen if I'm caught.

I hear the faint sounds of heartbeats.

The party had ended hours ago.

Once Rebekah had enough she kicked everyone out and I took off towards the woods to avoid Nik.

Now I move through the house quietly just in case Nik is still around.

Not seeing anyone I make my way to the basement.

Slipping my way through the door I walk down the stairs and into the basement. I make my way to the cells in the dark level. Thinking better of it I head for the fridge first to grab a vial of blood. I walk over to the small window of the cell that's heavily barred.

"Who's there?" Stefan asks

"Just someone in need of information." I say

"Ah. The hybrid who murdered Tyler Lockwood."

"Trust me. He had it coming."

Stefan shrugs.

"I don't have anything to say to you. I've been sitting in this cell for weeks while your master Klaus dries me out and waits to put me to use." He replies

"I know the history you too share. I'll make it worth your while." I say holding the vial up

Suddenly a long gray colored arm lashes out for the blood.

I pull back quickly.

"Information first then it's yours."

"I could just as easily kill you." He growls

I laugh.

"From behind bars? Right. Try me." I say

He rattles at the bars but they don't budge.

He angrily punches the wall.

"Tell me where Elena is."

"If I'm standing here asking you for help, how the hell do you think I know where she is?"

There's a long moment of silence.

"What do you want to know?"

"What is Nik planning? Has he told you anything at all about the vampires?" I ask

I slip the vial through.

"From what I know, they're just his spies to get information.m or backup muscle. He sends them out on errands or security. Other than that they don't really have a use." He says

I sigh.

Information I already have.

I've also played the role of a spy for Nik.

Reporting any information from humans to hybrids.

"That's it?" I ask

He gives me another shrug.

"That's all I know. Klaus wouldn't share sensitive information while I'm in here, not until he has me under his thumb." Stefan says

I nod.

When it comes to Klaus you either submit or you find yourself daggered in a coffin.

Or dead.

Stefan's eyes widen as he stares behind me.

I whip around and freeze.

"Well this is an interesting development." Nik says

Nik stares at me as he stands there calmly but I can see the fire raging behind his eyes. He gestures for me to come and I do. He steps aside for me to walk past him and up the stairs.We walk into the study and he closes the door behind him.
