The dystopian sounds of morning silence filled the atmosphere as Mark's eyes fluttered open due to the bright sunlight shining through the silk curtains. A slight groan escaping his lips as he sat forward, contemplating if he should start his day yet. His tired, dopey eyes focusing on the bedsheets, zoning out a little before he got out of the single bed.
Heading towards the mirror, he glanced at his former self. His black, messy hair almost covering his eyes as he let out a small yawn, now heading towards the shared kitchen.
There, he was greeted by his two roommates/best friends, Haechan and Renjun although this wasn't them all, in total he had 6 friends, all of them being who he classed as family. Their names being Renjun, Haechan, Jaemin, Jeno, Jisung and Chenle.
Mark was the oldest among the 7 of them so he carried a lot of responsibilty and acted as the pillar of the friend group. He was the reliable one, the father figure and they all trusted him.
Renjun walked up to Mark, gently patting his shoulder as he looked at him with suspicion. "Are you okay?" Renjun said, his head tilting and his tone slightly worried. Mark nodded and sat next to Haechan, grabbing an apple. Renjun had hesitated before speaking again.
"If you want, we don't have to go to Daegu today." Renjun sighed whilst he spoke. This was the yearly holiday they all did. Mark turned to Renjun, shaking his head as he spoke, "No we have too. We've been putting it off for so long and we deserve the break." he stated as Renjun just nodded. Haechan just sat there, munching away on his cereal, he knew something was up with Mark but didn't want to push the issue so relatively stayed quiet.
A few minutes of silence passed before one of them spoke, this time it was Haechan. "What time is the train?" He said calmly, putting his bowl down infront of him and facing the two men. "9am." Mark said, letting a soft sigh out as he began digging his teeth into the apple.
Haechan and Renjun both turned to the clock in sync, checking the time. It read "6am". To get everyone ready it would take atleast 2 hours so they were pretty good on time. Renjun took out his phone, leaving the room as he called the other 4 men individually, asking them if they were ready. This was the day they had all been waiting for.
Nothing could go wrong. Not today.
Or so they thought.
