I hugged Mamma, whispering a promise into her ear. Stepping onto the plane, I looked back one last time. 'Goodbye, Italy. Hello, America,' I murmured, pressing my forehead against the cold window as my homeland became a speck in the distance

I barely slept during the flight, my mind buzzing with anticipation. As the plane descended, I caught my first glimpse of America. The skyscrapers, the hustle and bustle...it was all so different. 'This is it, Seraphina,' I whispered to myself, 'Your new home.'

Beside me, my older brother Sergio stirred from his sleep. "We're here, aren't we?" he asked, looking out the window. "Yes, we're finally here," I replied, squeezing his hand for comfort. Finally Stepping off the plane, we were hit by the rush of a new city. "Ready for this?" he asked, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Absolutely," I answered, determined to make the most of this new beginning.

Once we collected our bags, we hailed a taxi. "To our new home," my brother declared as we pulled away from the airport, our hearts filled with hope and uncertainty. Cruising through the city, we finally reached the university campus. "Our new journey starts here, Seraphina," my brother said, a sense of awe in his voice, we find our way walking into the big builing, right after Sergio pays the taxi man.

Inside the admin office, we met the dean and staff. Our tour guide, a friendly senior, welcomed us. "New beginnings," my brother whispered, grinning. "Meet Evan, your tour guide," the dean introduced us. Evan, with his quick wit and friendly demeanor, instantly lightened the mood.

As we introduced ourselves, our accents strong and distinct, "Hello nice to meet you, I'm Sergio" my brother says, I stare at Evan, He's a handsome guy he looks about 20 years old has a strong built, so he works out I thought to my self, soon realizing I'm checking the guy out, pulling me out of it Sergio slaps my sholder oh shit right its my turn, "Hello I am Seraphina,"  I noticed Evan's eyes linger on me a bit. 'Interesting,' I thought, trying to hide a smile.

Falling back into a silence, Evan broke the ice, "So, you've finally made it to America, huh? Land of endless opportunities and... pizza?" They all laughed, I didn't because i didnt find it funny beacuse I was once again staring at Evan, I really need to get fucked.  The Dean who's name we found out is Mr. Harris, handed me and Sergio the paperwork we needed to fill out. As we signed the paperwork, the room fell into a quiet hum. The sound of names - Mr. Harris &  Evan - being penned down filled the air.

I take out my phone to see if there is any new notifications after filling out all of the paperwork while Segrio is still filling out his, 'cazzo lento' I thought and snickered to myself, Then, with a final flourish, Segrio signed the last document. We both looked at each other, realizing our lives were about to change.

After the dean gave us a long lecture explaing to us the do's and the dont's on campus, I'm nodding my head listening to the words he's saying while just really thinking about the fat ass nap I'm ready to take, mentaly preparing myslelf to leave and eger to see who my new dorm mate, Carmen I think her name is, will look like... but my big mouth brother decides to once again talk holding me back from the opprotunites I'm ready to meet. "Back in Italy, we didn't have much. But a basketball? Always had one." Segrio says, "Oh, so you're a wannabe Michael Jordan?" I tease, Laughing, Sergio shot back at me, "How about a one-on-one game, Seraphina? Let's see who's the real Jordan here."

"You know, our basketball team is pretty solid, Sergio. You talk a big game, Ever thought about trying out for the team?" Evan says. Why is he encouraging my stupido fratello to play basketball, I really need to get out of here, "Sounds like a challenge, Evan. I might just do that!" My brother replies with a cheezy grin on his face. I decied to speak up and say, "Sergio, non dimenticare che anche la pasta ha bisogno di sale per avere sapore!"

That wipes the stupid big smile on his face, ha i knew that would put him in his place, gathering my belongings ignoring Sergio's dirty looks, getting up taking out my hand for Mr. Harris to shake, we say our goodbyes and head out of the big building.

As Evan led us around campus, my eyes lit up at the sight of the handsome athletes practicing on the field, while Sergio couldn't help but smirk at the girls sunbathing on the lawn. We both couldn't resist the aroma wafting from the food stalls, looking at each other following the sound our stomachs grumbling in unison, but we keep on walking observing the details of this huge ass campus, I'm really hoping i don't get lost while on the way to class.

After the tour, we finally found ourselves at a food stall. Over burgers and laughter, me and Segrio swapped stories about our first impressions of the campus, the people, and the food. While Evan listened to us blabber. It was the start of a beautiful friendship. Evan asked, "Best part so far?" Sergio pointed at his empty plate, "This burger!" I laughed and said, "second that!"

Really getting a chance to stare at Evan as he and Segrio are conversating, Evan was a sight to behold. His smile was infectious, his eyes full of life, and his athletic frame was undeniably attractive. I guess I was staring a little to hard cause then Evan's gaze mets with mine. Fuck fuck fuck, Seraphina look away look a fucking way, but I couldn't His smoldering eyes held a promise of unspoken desires, making my cheeks flush with anticipation. I puff out the breath I didnt realize i was holding, if you wanna fuck just say so, God I really need to get laid..

Wrapping up our meal, Evan and Sergio offered to walk me back to my new dorm. I of couse  accepted, feeling a thrill of anticipation. Now thinking about it why on earth did they have to ask me, I hope they didn't exect for me to just walk by myself I don't even know where the fucking room is.

As we strolled, Evan and Sergio shared stories with eachother, laughter filling the air. God why do I feel like a third wheel... Once we finally get to my dorm, we say our goodbyes, a promise of tomorrow in Sergio's eyes, as he hugs me, he whispers in my ear "Ci vediamo domani sorellina mia, non esitare a chiamarmi." "Ti voglio bene, fratello, buonanotte, e lo stesso vale per te." I say right after, with a warm smile on my face. We pull away from the hug he gives me a kiss on the cheek.

Evan is just standing there looking a little awkward, with his hands in his pockets looking up into the sky. He meets my gaze gives me a little smirk and says,"Sweet dreams, princess," bitch get the fuck out my face, why did he have to call me princess thats what my papa calls me... Segro looks at him up and down with a stank face, "Evan, don't ever say that agian" he says.

I laugh when Evans face morphs into confusion "What are you talking about," Evan says. Me and Segro just looks at each other and laugh. As finally they start to actully leave, I turn my body around walk inside of the dorm entrance.

Reaching to the dorm room 208, I insert the key into the door and turn the doorknob...Here we go.
