I sit down with a bowl of cheetos and a drink, already orange fingers grasping the remote when I find it. I point the remote at the TV lazily, scrolling through movies to watch.
"Ooo! Corpse Bride! Where can I watch that..?" I raise the remote, about to click play when my phone starts buzzing.
"Who's calling me at," I check the time, "9 AM..?" I look at the name, nearly dropping it, "Crim..? Why is he calling.." I click the answer call button, putting it on speaker and setting the phone down "You're on speaker, you okay, Crim?" I say almost immediately.
"Of course I'm alright, just had a question.." he trails off, waiting for me to respond, but his voice leaving me fumbling for my words. "Right.. Uhm.. what did you need then?" I asked semi-plainly.
"I was wondering if you'd like to go out to dinner?" He sounded hopeful, carefully awaiting my response. I froze in pure shock, forgetting how to make my heart beat again. "You," I took a second to fully understand what he was saying. "Yes, yes of course, I'd love to!" I nearly jumped up to start getting ready, although it was so early. I heard him laugh through the phone, "Alright hun, I'll pick you up at 5..?" I breathed in to keep from squealing. "Okay! I'll be ready then!" He chuckled again, giving a final "See you then, honey" and hanging up.
I immediately ran to go get in the shower to prepare for the date.
