Nico's fists are clenched, and a vein is popping along his neck. Some guy beside him was trying to calm him down, but I was too focused on Nico to pay attention to him. I shake it off when I remember I was here to have fun. Nico is the one who advised I go out and have fun. I close my eyes and let the music take over again. I stayed that way until I hear a commotion right below me. I finally open my eyes and gasp when I see Nico, in all his glory, arguing with Tamara and Sam. His eyes meet mine again.

"Niki!" I squeal while smiling.

"Get down here!" He shouts.

"Hey, Viking!" I say when I finally place the guy next to him from the apartment.

"Hey, doll. Might want to get down."

"No!" I shout back childishly before giggling at their expressions.

"Callie, get down here right now!" Nico commands.

"Let me think about it..." I put my finger on my chin. "How about...no." I start laughing again because he obviously isn't used to people telling him no by his expression. He's livid.

"Callie, I'm not going to ask again!" If I'm not piss drunk, then I'd probably be scared.

"That's you asking? Then you need to work on your asking skills." I comment, being completely serious. Forget him trying to ruin my night! I turn away from him and start dancing again. I squeal when I felt someone grab my waist and pull me off the bar. "Hey! I'm dancing!" I complain. I hear many of the guys watching me complain, too, but one look from Nico silences them. "What'd you do that for?" I pout.

"Cause you're drunk and not thinking. Let's go." He grabs my arm. Again, with the commanding?

"I'm not going anywhere with you!"

He raises an eyebrow and smirks. "Wanna bet?" I gulp. "Now, you either walk that pretty little ass of yours out of this club willingly, or I'll throw you over my shoulder and carry you out."

I gasp. "You wouldn't dare!"

He leans in until his hot breath brushs my ear. "Oh, I would." He leans back and moves to the side so I can walk in front of him. When I make no move to go with him, he takes a threatening step towards me. "I didn't want to have to do this." He takes another step, and I register what he's talking about.

"No!" I quickly back up. "No, no, I'll walk! No need to go all barbarian." I hold up my hands in surrender and start walking away but fall before I can make it two steps. I close my eyes waiting for my face to high-five the floor, but it never does. Instead, I feel strong arms wrap around me.

"You're too drunk to even walk." I'm engulfed in warm arms and being held bridal style. I look up and see Nico, and when our eyes connect, I feel safe. I smile my first genuine smile in I don't know how long. "I'll bring her home." He must have been talking to Tamara, but I'm too distracted by his full—and I bet incredibly soft—lips moving.

I start to laugh, and that brings his attention back to me. He gazes at me as he walks away with me in his arms like I weigh nothing.

"What are you laughing at, giggles?" He smiles at me. Oh my—I thought his smirks were hot, but his smile is breathtaking. I smile goofily back at him.

"Just thinking about your lips," I mutter casually.

He looked stunned and raises his eyebrows. "And what about them?"

I return my gaze to his lips and lick my own hungrily. "What it would be like to kiss them. They look soft, but I bet they'd also be firm. A perfect blend of the two."

I don't realize we stop until I see him staring at me in shock. He opens and then closes his mouth, like a fish out of water. Suddenly, I have this overwhelming need to pee. I start squirming out of his arms, but his hold is tight.
