Chapter 2

Today on this Friday Chaudhury Mansion is very busy. The sons of the family spent the morning at their Shanti Nibas (orphanage & old-age home) in Gazipur and offered Friday prayers at the Jame Masjid there. Meanwhile, Deepali, Chhoya, Kotha & Deepti are spending a lot of busy time in the kitchen. On this one day of the week, everyone eats at home twice. Chhoya asks Orthi, Orna, Orni, and Onna to set the table. Deepti is preparing some items for the evening snack. And Aru is happily talking with Grandmother. Everyone spent the day busy today.

At night

Everyone sat at the dining table, Ajmal Chaudhury at one end of the table and Afnan Chaudhury at the other end. Then Abrar Chaudhury, Abir Chaudhury, Ahir Chaudhury, Orthi, Orni, Orna, Onna, Ohi, Aru, and Oronno sat down respectively and Neelima Chaudhury sat next to them, and supervised her daughters-in-law. Everyone is eating together and talking about different things.

Afnan Chaudhury:- What is the status of all of your studies?

Orthi:- Boro abbu, you know I am waiting for the results of my masters.

Orni & Orna:- Boro abbu, we are in the BBA third year Finals.

Onna:- Boro abbu, you know that my university will start on next month

Afnan:- Hmm, and what about Aru Ma?

Ohi:- What else? l don't see him eating Bindash, talking and reading.

Aru:- Ohida, why do you always do this to me, Boro abbu I study hard, you can see my results. Now I will get up if Ohida says something wrong.

Afnan:- So Mamoni, do you want to study in Medical or Engineering

Aru:- Boro abbu, I will study in Medical

Ohi:- Ore Chutki Medical is not so simple, you are the sleepy girl you will see, you are sleeping with reading on your head.

Oronno:- Oh Ohi why are you doing this to my pichchi, She is small now.

Ohi:- Oh Bro I am telling the fact.

Oronno:- Don't judge a book by its cover.

Chhoya says to Deepali, Boro Bhabi are you thinking about Oronno's marriage, Ohi is also getting old. Deepali goes to Afnan and says you are thinking about the marriage of the boys, you are busy with your business. Afnan Chaudhury said I chose my friend's daughter for Oronno But your son did not like her. Ohi then said that bro liked someone, Deepali said that Oronno didn't tell me anything, and the Sisters all said together that they knew Ohida told them.

Aru:- I don't know anything, no one told me

Ohi:- What do you know, you are just a dud bhat (little kid), you don't have to know everything

Aru become upset

Oronno:- oh Ohi you are talking too much

Ohi:- why bro, what did i say wrong? the girl likes you.
