Miraculous: Tales of The Potion Masters

Chapter 1

[A/N: Happy Halloween! This was inspired by Anabear2803’s work ‘Potion Masters’ with my own spin on things and me doing stupid things because I am bored and decided to attempt to end my writer's block. The beginning will follow some plot elements in ‘Potions Masters’ by Anabear2803 but the majority of the plot is my own. Lizard out!!]

“I will make your life miserable, everyone you love will turn against you, We are officially at war with each other, Marinette,” Lila says in my face before she turns around on her heel and walks away.

I stood there in the bathroom in shock at what had just happened. I finally discovered evidence to prove that Lila had been lying the whole time then Lila found out and cornered me in the bathroom threatening me that if I were to reveal her she would make sure that I would regret it.

Do I believe her? Not really, my friends and family know that I would never do things that are evil or unjust. I simply shake off the worry finish washing my hands and return to class. Everyone was looking at me weirdly as I entered the classroom, Lila had a smirk.

“Marinette, why did you threaten Lila in the bathroom?” Mlle. Bustier asks me.

“What?! I didn’t threaten Lila!” I say.

“Lila said that you threatened her to say that she was lying just to prove that you were right.” Mlle. Bustier says

“It’s true. All I wanted to do was be friends with her because everyone says that she is a good person, b-but. . . she threatened me when I offered to be her friend.” Lila says tears began to pool in the corner of her eyes and Alya rushed to embrace Lila, glaring at me.

“Marinette, how could you!? I thought we were friends!” Alya growls.

“Alya, you know I would never do that! We are friends, best friends!” I say

“No, we’re not, you’re just a liar and an evil person. You can take back the friendship bracelet you gave me in pieces!” Alya says ripping off the friendship bracelet that I made for her, she pulled it off with such force that the string holding it together broke apart and all of the beads were sent flying all over the room.

My right hand flew to cover my mouth, tears welling in my eyes. What I had gifted my best friend as a symbol of our friendship she destroyed right in front of me without even the slightest hint of remorse.

“How could you?” I whispered into my hand.

“Everyone let’s calm down. Marinette, It’s clear that you have been envious of Lila. All she has been trying to do is make friends.” Mlle. Bustier says

“If that’s what you all believe then maybe it’s best if I leave this class. Good day to all of you.” I say gathering my belongings and leaving the classroom without looking back.

“Marinette, what are you doing home from school this early?” My Maman asks me hugging me.

“The new girl in my class is turning everyone against me. So I left early. Alya. . . destroyed the Friendship bracelet I made for and gave her.” I said trying to keep it together.

“Oh, my poor baby. I know that you and her don’t get along, but I’m sure there is some reason behind her actions.” Maman says stroking my hair.

“I don’t know what that could be,” I say.

“Nor do I, but since you don’t want to go back to school you can help your Papa and me in the Bakery and you could use this as an opportunity to work on your designs or your magic. I know you’ve been getting better at transfiguration.” Maman says smiling.
