Bucky My Brother?

Kai's POV

Bucky was sitting on the couch, seemingly zoning out before turning his head to me as I walk inside. He seems grumpy like always.

"What's wrong brother?" I look at him with a smirk.

He raises an eyebrow at my cheeky comment and smiles slightly. "Who you callin' brother?" He mutters, taking a swig out of his whiskey bottle.

I turn to look at Bucky, my expression turning from cheeky to sadden. "You...you don't remember me Bucky? It's me Kai, your brother."

A confused expression spreads across his face but also a realization. "Wait...Kai? Is that you!? Kai, I...I was just kidding! Of course I remember you! Where have you been all these years!?"

"Yeah do you truly remember me? You still seem so confused. Here let me prove that I am your brother. Our mother was Winnifred Barnes and she used to take us to a park down the street from our home. I still have the scar from when you pushed me off the swing." I showed him the scar that was just above my eye.

He seems to have been caught off guard, still in disbelief. "Kai!? How can I ever forget you? Of course I remember you my brother. You have no idea how happy I am that you're alive! How did you find me? I thought you were dead."

I tilt my head in confusion. "What do you mean you have been looking for me? They told me you were dead! That no one would be looking for me."

Bucky was startled by my statement. "What do you mean? I've been looking for you like crazy! Steve told me he found no evidence that you are still alive. I thought you were dead. I thought they killed you!"

I looked at him like he was crazy. "You killed me?"

"The government!" He replied angrily. "They took you from me when we were just kids and indoctrinated you into becoming an assassin." He seemed to be remembering the pain memory of losing me yet I cant remember the government taking me. "They took you away from me... and for what!?"

 "Then I came back! And you were gone! You were GONE Bucky! You left to go fight some war back in 1941!"

His face filled with shock as you accused him. 

"No, Kai, that's not true!" He said, sounding desperate as if he was trying to explain himself. "I mean yes I went off to war but I always planned on coming back for you and finding you. After the war ended I tried to find you but they told me that you had been killed. I never stopped searching Kai! Never!"

I looked down, feeling ashamed that I had yelled at him. But then their voices began to fill my head. Their harsh words filled my ears. "Your brother is dead!" They would shout at me. "Your brother will never look for you!" You are a lost cause, only useful as a weapon!" Their voices rang in my ears. 

I stumbled backwards, holding my head in my hands trying to block out their evil malicious voices. "Shut up, shut up, shut up!" I kept yelling as I hit my head with my palms.

Bucky, concerned now, got up out of his seat and moved towards me. He carefully placed his hands on my shoulder. "Kai? Kai, calm down. What's going on?" His voice filled with concern as he tried the root of your sudden outburst.

Suddenly I scream and push Bucky off of me with super human strength, sending him into the farthest wall. Bucky hit the wall and groaned.

"Hey!" He shouted once he fell to the ground. However his anger soon went away as he looked me in the eyes. His face turned to pure concern. "Kai, what's wrong with you!? Did something...happen to you?" He asks, sounding worried.

I snapped out of it once he yelled at me. "I...I...I'm so sorry Bucky. I didn't mean to hurt you." Tears filled my eyes as I slowly backed away. I was trembling in fear as he asked me if something happened. I didn't want to remember but the memories came rushing back. That terrible night came rushing back and tears started to fall. Yes something had happened but I was afraid to tell my brother.
