I woke up to the sound of my roommate's alarm ringing loudly. Assuming it was my own, I reached for my phone in confusion, only to realize it was Emily's. Groggily, I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and got up to investigate.

As I entered the living room, I was surprised to find Emily sprawled out on the couch, dressed in a silver sparkly dress that rode up on her thighs. Her face was smeared with lipstick, evidence of a wild night out.

I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight. I quickly turned off the alarm on Emily's phone and nudged her awake. "Looks like somebody had a good time," I quipped, watching as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked up at me with a sly grin. "Would have been better if you hadn't been such a sore loser and stayed in," she teased.

Unfazed, I replied confidently, "I've been too busy looking for a job. But last night, I came across this amazing opportunity to be an assistant. I'm just waiting to hear back." Emily's face lit up with excitement. "That's fantastic, Amelia! I'm so proud of you," she exclaimed.

Although I hadn't received a response yet, I knew that I was perfect for the job. Emily stretched and stumbled towards the bathroom, groaning about her hangover. "Guess who I saw last night," she called out to me. "Your ex-girlfriend, Blake Webster. She was at the club with some other girl."

My heart raced at the mention of Blake's name. She was my first love and my first real heartbreak. But I refused to let the memories of our past relationship shake my confidence. "If that's her so-called 'upgrade,' then I'd rather look at trash," Emily continued.

I smiled confidently and replied, "Well, I'm sure she's not doing as well as I am. She's probably doing well with her modeling career but she hasn't gotten anywhere with it for the past few years."

Emily walked out of the bathroom with her toothbrush hanging out the side of her mouth and pointed it toward me as I popped a grape from the fruit basket into my mouth, "Blake has never been on top of you, well if we're talking sexually then there's a high chance but in achievements and goals. Hell no."

Chuckling at her stupid remark, She was right. In both aspects as well, Popping another grape into my mouth I watched as the blonde walked back into the bathroom and finished up brushing her teeth.

After a few more minutes, Emily finally walked back out looking way better than how I saw her before she woke up and looked more alive, The blonde eventually found her way into the kitchen and stood in front of me from across the countertop.

"The usual for breakfast?" Emily asked, waiting for a response from me, nodding my head the blonde carried on with her search for the pots needed for her to begin.

Whilst Emily cooked breakfast I decided to go and change into proper clothes and get ready for my morning, As I walked into my room a ping could be heard from my laptop signaling a notification.

Sauntering closer to my laptop I quickly realized it was a reply sent back from the job I applied to last night. Opening the email and reading it for a few seconds a pang of excitement hit me.

"I got the job!" I exclaimed, hoping that Emily could hear from me in the kitchen to which she ran into my room and engulfed me in a big hug, " I'm so proud of you Lia, This calls for a celebration. How about dinner or a night out at the club?" The blonde eagerly asked which caused me to chuckle.

"Let's take it one step at a time, shall we? We can start with breakfast and figure out the rest as we go," I teased, and she playfully rolled her eyes before leading me to the kitchen. The smell of eggs and bacon cooking filled the air. "Tell me more about your new job," Emily asked as she placed two slices of bread into the toaster.

"Well, I'll be working for a big fashion company called 'Vogue Elegance' that was founded in France a few years back. It's currently owned by a woman named Vixen De Luca, who runs it with her sister," I explained as Emily plated the food and handed me a fork.

"You did your homework, didn't you?" she teased. We both sat down to eat, and I replied after swallowing a bite. "Well, I wanted to be prepared, and since I got the job, I guess it paid off."

"I'm so proud of you! How about we celebrate with lunch at the coffee shop? My treat," she suggested.

"Sounds great, but can we watch a movie first? My favorite movie, maybe?" I pushed, watching as Emily groaned.

"I don't want to watch Frozen again," she replied, annoyed. Chuckling at her childish behavior, I placed my fingers on her lips and gave her a playful smile. "Come on, it'll make celebrating my victory even better," I said.

She fought back a laugh for a few moments before finally letting it out, and I couldn't help but join in. "You're one of a kind, Lia," she said.

"Better be a good kind, or you'll never hear the end of it," I joked.

"You never told me how your night went, besides the Blake part. But what else happened? Anyone caught your eye?" I questioned, taking a bit of my toast and waiting for a response.

The blonde quickly became flustered and red, "Holy shit" I exclaimed, "Emily I need every single thing that happened in detail" I urged.

"Well, there was this one girl, who had the most beautiful eyes and she gave off such mysterious but confident. She wasn't shy at all. It was awesome Lia, she had the softest touch and she knew how to use her tongue and fingers" She tightly closed her legs as if she was going to orgasm again from just the thought.

"Did you get her number?" I asked curiously. Emily nodded and began squealing, "She even brought me home and offered to carry me up which I declined of course, for safety reasons y'know" She reasoned. Finishing up her last bites of food and drinking her orange juice.

"That explains why you came home looking like someone ran a train on you, maybe because someone did run a train on you and boy did they ruin you" I jokingly teased, Emily motioned to take up the plates but I refused and did it myself.

"You made breakfast, the least I could do is clean up. Go put on frozen and get the couch set up." I shooed her and watched as she groaned once again. Chuckling to myself I began washing up and quickly checked my phone after.

Tucking it back into my pocket I dried the dishes and sauntered my way over to the living room and eyed the TV which displayed "Grown-ups" instead of "Frozen".

"This doesn't look like the show I suggested." I teased, "You're right. This is way better, so come on, and let's start" Emily replied, patting the seat beside her.

"Cheer up, we both know Grown-ups is your number one favorite movie and you only say Frozen is your favorite so that we can sing the songs together" Smiling at her words I eased into her and cuddled closer.

Emily has been my friend since 3rd grade and we've been inseparable ever since, moved in together after college although we could afford to get separate houses together it just never mattered to us, as long as we had each other then we'd be fine. It was always like that and hopefully, it'll stay that way.

A few minutes in we both fell asleep during the film and our day had already ended before it even started.
