I was going to meet up with macaque and he had been trying to make up. I was wearing my "disguise" aka the clothes I wore to that one lantern city. He was wearing some jeans, a t- shirt and leather jacket which I hate to admit looked amazing on him. "Hey so wanna check out this boba place mei recommended to me" I heard macaque say " yeah sure that might be fun"we didn't talk the entire time but when we got to the place we ordered some drinks(obviously). I got a peach flavored boba drink and macaque got plum flavored drink. We went to a table and sat down for a little.
" So macaque, how has your day been so far? '' he raised his eyebrow. '' You ask that now " I didn't really know what to say as I started to scratch my neck out of nervousness. " w-well yeah I'm trying to start a conversation" he let out a sigh " well it's been fine how about your day" I felt so awkward " well it's been good anything good happen recently" I heard a voice call out "order for a Mr.Macaque'' he stood up " yes that's me" he got both of our drinks and gave me mine " thank you" we both sat in silence for a little when I finally mustered up the courage to say " you know there's this park I heard of not to far from here if you want to take a walk to" he looked at me a little Curiously " sure why not can't get any more awkward than this"
When we arrived It was a very nice and peaceful park to say the least. We talked a little bit, bickering here and there. I missed this between us just relaxing, not caring about anything in the world. I started to wander off a little as both of us fell into a comfortable silence. I started to wonder if there was a way we could go back to how we used to be. There probably wasn't I mean I killed him after all but it's still nice to think about . I remember those endless nights of me and him just laying in bed together not caring about anything in the world. What I would do to go back to that time. My thoughts were cut off by my phone ringing. It was Mk on the title so I picked up " hey wukong,macaque how are you" "good we went to this one place mei recommended to us i forgot the name bings tea something like that" .
" oh yeah I know that place me and mei go their all the time it's really good" macaque decided to join the conversation " hey as much as I would love to talk to you right now Mk me and wukong are trying to hang out by ourselves this time so yeah" " yeah yeah I get it macaque I'll just call wukong later ok have a good night" so I had to hang up with Mk leaving me and macaque alone together. I was trying to think of things we could do when I realized it was a little late so maybe we can get to my house or something. How would I ask macaque that tho do I just be straightforward or what wait does macaque even have a house does he even have the money to buy a house oh god. When I finally asked macaque if he wanted to leave and go to my house or something I said it in the worst way possible god I wish I could die in that moment.
" hey macaque what do you say we go back to my house tonight it's getting pretty late and I'm pretty sure your homeless" their head turned to me " that sounds good but I will have you know I have a house" I gave him a smug smile " really show me we walked to an alleyway and he showed me an oversized cardboard box. I looked at him pitifully "hey macaque you know if you wanted you could bunk with me" he looked offended " to think I would ever want to live in the same house with you is an insult itself you know".
"Hey I was just trying to be helpful besides how about you stay at my house for the night and see if you like it or not then I'll let you live in peace and besides this is pitiful honestly"
he thought about it " fine just cause I want to humor you and besides we were going to go to your house anyways. What I wasn't expecting was to fall on the ground below me as he created one of his shadow portal sucking us and arriving at my cabin. We went inside and I offered him some food which I only had instant ramen because I'm too lazy to actually make anything.
So I put them in the microwave for a little and served them to him " really instant ramen I figured the great sage would have better choices for dinner" i turned to him quickly making sure my body language was extra dramatic.
