"What do you think you are doing!" I yell at Jay. They have just stuffed us in the back of a heavily armored BOND van. Thankfully they have left just me and Jay in the back so I can yell at him as much as I want. "Why did you say you were a Nova? You don't have any powers!"

"I couldn't just leave you to go to a new place all on your own. Especially with a bunch of super powered criminals." I calmed down realizing that Jay threw himself into a prison of people with powers when he had none at all. Just so I could have someone I knew and trusted in there. "You are an idiot of a best friend."

"Hey, it's not just for you. I want to see all the different kinds of powers people have. Also, I want to see who is innocent like you. But I am worried about the kind of people we might see there."

"Scared of the 'killers?'" I say in a mocking tone.

"No," he said trying to sound brave. "I'm just worried about being the only one in a prison full of Novas that doesn't have powers."

"Speaking of which, how did you fake being a Nova?"

"It was probably when you healed me with your powers. It didn't give me anything, but I guess to a BOND scanner, I was a weak Nova."

"What do you think prison's going to be like?"

"No clue. But something tells me it's going to be a literal power struggle. Most likely the strongest is the top of the food chain while someone like me needs backup to even eat lunch. Lucky for me I got the strongest Nova ever as a best friend."

"In case you forgot, your best friend doesn't even know how to control his powers. What we both need to do is find a powerful group that no one will mess with and try to join them." I said, knowing well that it will be the hardest thing on the planet to do. "There's probably a ranking system by the prisoners ranking their powers. It should be easy enough to spot the strongest group."

"Ok so we find out who is the best group to go with and convince them to let us join and somehow explain a reason as to why I don't have powers. Simple." Hearing the plan out loud made me realize just how crazy it sounded.

For the next what felt like hours, me and Jay talked about what the Nova prison, also known as Greyrock Nova facility, would be like and joked around like we always did. This time though it was to hide the fear of what was happening to us. Guess we were going to find out the hard way because when we felt the van stop and the doors swung open, we were met with a giant iron door that looked like a bank vault on steroids and giant walls made of what looked like concreate with watchtowers posted on the top.

"Welcome to Greyrock boys." Said the commander. "Time to go meet your fellow freaks."

Walking into Greyrock was nerve racking to say the least. Guards posted around every corner, cold looks from everyone as we walked by, and at one point I think I heard a scream come from the yard. We eventually came to a waiting room and door with a sign above it that read "Dr. Cortez."

"You first." said the officer escorting me, and he dragged me away from Jay and we went into the room. The room looked like a basic room I would see at the front office at school. A desk, nameplate, and the sense of dread like I just got in tons of trouble. All it needed was some inspirational posters about perseverance and it would be perfect to put fear into any kid. Sitting at the desk was a lady in a lab coat typing on her computer. She wore glasses and had her brown hair tied back into a ponytail revealing hearing aids on her ears. The thing that put me a little on edge was the fact that when she saw me, she didn't give me a look of disgust and hate. She smiled when she saw me instead. On the desk the name plate said, "Dr. June Cortez."

"Got another one in the waiting room after this one." said the officer.

"Ok. I will have him put into the appropriate level shortly. You can leave now." said the doctor. Her voice seemed so calm and professional, but I also noticed she didn't even look at the officer. He gave an annoyed look and then walked out the door. After the door closed, Dr. Cortez stopped looking at her computer and looked up at me.
