Hey everyone. I didn't think I would ever get to say this but, thanks for reading my book. I'm the author, End0Tech but you can call me Endo. You read this much already so let me once again say thanks and if you want, you can close the story. But if you want to know a little about me, stick around.

First of all, I DID IT! I WROTE A BOOK! Sorry, had to get that out of my system. And sorry for the slight cursing at parts. I wanted to tell the best story I could and sometimes to make you feel what a character is feeling, you got to spice up the language. Shoot for Pg-13.

As I'm writing this, I'm making a thousand mistakes because of how excited I am. Thank God for spell check or else this book would be nothing but bad grammar and typos. Not too long ago, while hanging out with my cousin, I realized what I wanted to do with my life. While most people want to go make a difference with what they do or maybe go into the military and defend the country, I just want to entertain people.

As a kid I would try to be the funniest person I could be. I loved seeing the smiles people had while listening to me tell jokes or do something random. It felt like the little thing that I did for them went a long way. But because of this, I stopped caring about how I felt and kept my feelings bottled up so I could put on a mask and make other people laugh to get rid of their sadness. When someone asked me if I was ok, I would just put on my mask and tell them I was all good. After a long time of this, my life started to slip and my Ma noticed, so she got me a therapist. Not one day goes by where I don't thank my Ma for this decision.

Over time I got better, and it was just in time because when I started to truly feel better, I was heading into high school. Now that was terrifying. A whole new school with people from multiple different schools? I kept thinking the worst would happen. Sure, I had my friends from my elementary school but that was only a handful of people. Then the first day came and went. When I got into my dad's car and he asked me how my first day of high school was, I said, "It's just a bigger elementary school! Why was I so worried?"

So yeah, freshman year was eventful. Classes were boring but also fun. I say they were both because the main classes were just boring regular learning while on the other hand, I picked coding as one of my other classes and had a blast in that class. That teacher is still my favorite to this day. But not all of my main classes were boring. The people I met were always funny. And one day in algebra we had a seat change. It was standard for us to switch seats after a major test just to freshen up the class. We got to pick who we wanted to sit next to but because I didn't really know anyone enough to call them my friend, I chose no one and was seated at a random table. My and this kid I had never met before sat next to each other and we saw that we both liked anime. We spent the rest of that day talking about the coolest fight scenes in anime and now, two years later, that guy is my best friend. Weird how a school seating chart can change your life.

Sorry for the rambling but this is just all stuff I wouldn't mind telling whoever reads this. And you're obviously interested because you are still reading so let me tell you how I started writing in the first place. It all started with a little game known as Dungeons and Dragons.

On the first Tuesday of my sophomore year, my dad said he was going to be an hour late picking me up from school. I told him that was fine, and I would just wait at this club after school. It was the Tabletop games club, and I knew someone there so I would hang out with them until my dad picked me up. I went to the club and hung out with Doug, the guy I knew. This was the first club meeting of the year, so people were talking about DnD campaigns that were going to start soon. I paid no attention to it and went with my friend as we talked with some of his friends. I was then asked to join a card game with some people, and I said, "why not" and joined them. After a little bit of playing this, the teacher that supervised the club arrived and we all went in. My dad was still 30 minutes from picking me up, so I just followed Max, the guy who asked me to play cards, as we went into the building.

As he and some other people went and sat at one of the tables he said to me, "Oh are you trying to join our DnD campaign?" and me being the nervous around new people idiot I was said, "Yeah but I've never played before." He told me that was ok, and he would guide me through it. Let it be known that I had no idea what classes there were in the game, let alone how to make a character. But as he told me about all the things I could do, my imagination began to run wild. Quick note, I have the most active imagination out of all my friends. Combining that with my love of magic and spells, and creating that character became a must. I settled on playing as an alchemist because I had just finished watching Full Metal Alchemist. Right when I decided on my class, my dad texted me that he was out front to pick me up. I said bye to them and as I hopped into the car, I will never forget what I told my dad. I said, "I think I just accidentally joined a club."

When I got home, I ran to my computer and began looking up everything I needed to create a character and one thing that stood out was the backstory. I opened a word document and created my first story. The story of San Ricardo, the infamous alchemist. Once I finished the story (Which I still have. I re-read it and it was like looking at old photos of yourself. I nearly created a blackhole with how much I cringed at my old writing) I felt good. It felt amazing to put my crazy imagination into something for people to read. The next week at club I was told that too many people were trying to join Max's campaign and some people would go to another campaign DMed , or run, by someone else. I was one of the people along with 4 other new players and my friend Doug. We went to another table to start our campaign and, how do I say this lightly, that DM was not good at story telling or improv.

After that session, I had kind of lost hope in that campaign, but I decided to stick around because it could get better. Next session the DM didn't show up so my friend Doug, who is a DnD veteran, said he could DM a one-shot for us. Like a campaign but for only one session. That one shot cemented my love for DnD again. It had epic fights, weird hijinks, and all-around funny moments that had me crying laughing on the table. We all had a blast and left the table at the end of the club still laughing at everything we had done. Next week we were told that the original DM had gotten a job and couldn't make it to the club anymore. Then Doug stepped up and said he would take over the campaign. That was the best thing to ever happen. Every week we would cause chaos and have the best time of our lives. With all of us being new, a couple rules were tossed out the window to make the game more fun. That year was the best year of my life. Now school is coming up again and I will be the DM for a new campaign with the same guys that have become the friends that once a week, I unleash mayhem with.

Because of a simple game with friends, I have become more outgoing and have had a more positive outlook on life. That's the story of how I got into writing. Ok I've kept you for long enough. As a final thanks for reading the first book of Nova's Angel and this part of my life I will give you a little gift. The title of the next instalment will be *drumroll please* Nova's Angel: The Killing Files! Can't wait to see you in the next book. In the words of my favorite show, The Owl House,
