Ch 2

Eren looked down at his bag that he packed earlier wanting to eat all of his snacks already, he knows that he can't for all of his four day trip. He looked up at the wall that was getting closer, there lies the patch where they covered the Titan in the wall. "I wonder if they found out why that giant is there.." he mumbled, slowing his horse down. Leading it to the wooden lift by the wall, he started to hear the footsteps of another horse making him flinch. He looked over slowly seeing the figure come even closer. "OH SHIT-" he screamed, making the horse kick the leaver making the lift rise up to the top of the wall. Eren took another look only to see the figure was actually Levi. ''C-captian???" he screamed, reaching to the top of the tall wall. He looked over at the view of what remains of Rose, the gentle breeze flowing through him making him shiver. Levi let out a tsk as he looked around to find another lift. "That fucking brat, where does he think he's going?" he mumbled looking up at Eren, his eyes widened a bit seeing him just standing there. Sooner or later the lift finally landed in front of Levi, he got on it quickly pushing the lever at its highest speed. Eren was still standing there admiring the view and feeling of being on top of the walls, haven't been able to feel this feeling since all he's ever felt while being up there was anxiety, fear, and always on guard. He heard the clicks of the lift reaching to the top, he flinched and turned his head to that direction slowly seeing Levi there, glaring at him with anger. "C-captian!" he squeaked, making his horse step back a bit. "What the hell are you doing Jaeger, you were supposed to be staying here, not leaving in any circumstances!!" he growled, making his horse step forward. "U-um- I- W-well, the th-thing is u-um." 

"Out with it Jaeger!"

"Okay! Okay!!! I'm going back to Shiganshina to go to my father's basement."

Levi stood there, dumbfounded. He didn't know how to react to this, why was this boy wanting to go back to his city—which was destroyed by the Titans many years ago—and go to the basement that his father had left him? He sighed loudly and got off his horse. "Why do you want to go back?" he asked. "W-well..right now I cannot tell you. BUT- once we get there I will tell you why I want to go there." he said smiling nervously getting off his horse. "You idiot, just fucking tell me so I can let Erwin know." Eren stared at Levi, then at the ground starting to think about why he had to tell Erwin. If he did know, what would happen if his secret goes out to everyone. He would not go on missions, he would just be a cleaning boy, or worse- he could be experimented in a more illegal way than what Hanji does. "Th-that doesn't matter! Please I really need to go!" he said opening his water bottle, taking a few sips to avoid the awkward tension. "If I don't get an answer to tell Erwin, it could cause problems for the both of us." he glared at the brunette getting annoyed by him taking one sip, every. single. fucking. second. 
    Eren noticed the short man's face that shows he is really ticked off. He soon stopped drinking half of his water supply, he sighed and turned to look back at the view still mesmerized by the beautiful sky and view. Levi sighed softly, pinching the bridge of his eyebrows starting to think that he should leave Eren and head back to training the new squad. "Captain, I have to head back. I need to- I can't tell you why I want to go. If you at least trust me, like how Petra and the others convinced me to trust them back then. Will you come with me?" the brunette looked back at the short man feeling a breeze pass them. Levi's eyes widened at the boy's comment, he did remember the day that his own squad had met their fate. How Eren trusted them, with only days of knowing them. Levi groaned and rolled his eyes, lowering his hand from his face, standing up straight. He looked at Eren. "Fine, but soon as we get back, I will file this to Erwin. Understand Jaeger??" he shouted. Eren's eyes gleamed, forming a wide smile on his face and nodded. "Yessir!!" he shouted, saluting the shorter male.
    The two males had reached to the bottom of the wall on the other side, making their way to Rose. Eren looked back at the tall rusty wall, knowing that he could never turn back now. "We're lucky Titans can't get into the wall anymore." Eren smiled walking up ahead of Levi. "Idiot, there can still be some wandering around even if you plugged the wall." he said, opening a small snack, only nibbling at it. Eren rolled his eyes and made his eyes look at the other male nibbling at his snack. Seeing him eat that cracker like that made his cheeks turn a shade of pink, he flinched at his reaction. He looked away quickly making Levi look at him in confusion. "What's wrong with you? You've been acting weird since Annie turned herself into a crystal." he said putting the snack away in his bag. "Well..since you're here with me for a while I guess I can tell you a snippet of it." he mumbled looking around to see if there's Titans. Levi looked at him with a bland expression. "U-uh," he noticed that he really didn't care as much. "It's just..I get this strong pain in my chest. I feel numb all around. I just don't feel great.." Eren looked back up at the sky watching the stars twinkle. "That so..?" Levi said looking down at his horse's mane, feeling a little remorse from his actions earlier. "I don't know what's entirely wrong with me," he lied. "But I'm hoping that my father has a solution for it in the basement." he lied again. Eren cannot bear the feeling of telling the Captain his disease. He looked up and started to see that the night sky is turning to a purple color along with orange, seeing that the sun is coming up. "Damn! It's morning?? I wanted to find someplace to sleep!!" he groaned, plopping his face into his horse's mane. Levi looked up at the sky as well. "Well, we can just go to one of the houses and rest there for the morning so if there are Titans, we won't have to waste gas." he said looking around the area for a house that is at least durable. Eren looked around as well, there it was. A tiny house that looked damaged, but not damaged enough that no one can live in it. "How about there?" he said pointing at it. Levi looked over, furrowing his eyebrows thinking of how dirty it could be inside after being abandoned for a while. "Sure.." he mumbled walking to the direction. Eren followed to see if there was a good place to put the horses, he started to feel a tiny pain in his chest, knowing that his pain was coming back. 
     As the two males made it to the house, Eren got off his horse quickly with his bag and ran inside into a bathroom. Levi flinched at the boys actions looking at the direction he went in a weird confused face. "What is up with that boy.." he mumbled, taking both of the horses to a safe place to tie them up. Eren locked the door, he sat back down on the toilet opening the bag for the needle. He grabbed it and injected it into his arm, flinching when it pierces through his thin skin. Levi grew curious as he walked into the house, what was happening to Eren? Why is he pale? Why is he going to Shiganshina? He looked at the bathroom door, he walked over slowly knocking on the door. "Jaeger! What're you doing??" Eren looked over and started to pack everything up, he got up to wash his hands. Levi had pulled the door handle so hard that it broke, making the boy scream and drop his bag on the floor. "What's the matter with you??" he screamed rushing out of the bathroom. Levi rolled his eyes. "I want to know what's the matter with you!"

"Why all of a sudden are you so concerned about me?? Just a few weeks ago you hated me just cuz I put my life on the line for you to only save me and put others on the line!! You beat me up in court!!"

"I-" he stopped for a bit. He had no idea why he was worrying about him either, it made him confused, his cheeks were turning a slight shade of red rather than pink. "WAIT- YOU'RE BLUSHING WHY ARE YOU BLUSHING??" Eren shouted pointing at Levi's cheeks. The short man covered his mouth feeling his face get hotter. "N-NO I'M NOT!" he shouted back looking to find a room. Soon as he did; he bolted into the room, slamming the door shut. Eren stared at the closed door for a while, confused about what just happened. He laughed a bit, thinking about how his Captain looked earlier. Eren walked to the couch slowly starting to feel dizzy, he thought that he had injected himself with the blockers. A sharp pain started to appear in the boy's chest, making him wince and grip onto the couch. He felt like throwing up, he knew if he even takes one step; it'll be over for him. He'll black out. Eren laid on his side, gripping his shirt slowly panting out small breaths. I-its fine, it'll go away. Just relax and let the medicine kick in. He thought. 
    Levi stared at the pillow on his bed thinking why he had felt so much remorse to someone that he treats like shit. He looked over at the door hearing absolutely nothing. Just, silence. Levi got up, walked to the door putting his ear against it to hear the other side. All he heard was a tiny moan of pain, he flinched at the moan opening the door slowly. Eren was on the couch with both hands on his chest, trying to breathe. Levi ran over feeling the brunette's forehead. "God Jaeger what the hell happened to you???" he said, lifting him up from his side slowly. "N-n-no stop I'm gonna-" Eren moved his hand to his mouth, gagging. Levi's eyes widened, he got up quickly and ran to the bucket nearby. As he brought it near Eren, he puked, he saw that there was blood. A lot of blood. That made the small man worry, he needs to know why Eren is feeling this way. Levi realized that the brunette finished, lowering the bucket slowly taking out his handkerchief. "Eren, you need to tell me what's the matter with you. Or else I cannot help you.." he spoke softly, cleaning his mouth. The boy sighed softly, he coughed and looked up at his Captain, his eyes. His soft grey eyes, staring into his emerald jade green eyes. "Okay..I guess I'll tell you.." he mumbled. Levi's eyelids rose up a bit, feeling relieved that the boy is finally telling him.

So he told him.

 Levi is distraught. 

 Levi laid the boy down slowly on the couch, putting a pillow under his head gently. Tucking him in, he looked over at Eren who was still showing signs of intense pain.  He frowned, placing his hand on the boy's cheek, caressing it softly with his thumb. 

"If anyone else besides Hanji and I were to know about this, I don't know what they will do..I don't know what I'll do.."
