Prologue

The story starts while Satoru is dying

Satoru POV

{Confirmed. Unique skill [Predator]...successfully acquired.} I mean, here I was, lookin' at forty without ever losing my virginity. Like an old sage meditating in the mountains. Another few years, and I probably could've been the great sage of celibacy. Not the road I wanted to take in life, but there you go. But, if I somehow, somehow get Isekaid, I would definitely want god to be my companion and advisor. 

3rd Person POV

After hearing this, the VOTW knew it couldn't just fulfill that wish right away. This is because god, or rather, the Star King Dragon Veldanava is dead. The VOTW then decided to go to the time when Veldanava was currently impaled by a sword and was breathing his last breaths.

Veldanava POV

I was currently dying as I was staring at Lucia's corpse with tears in my eyes. Why? WHY DID SHE HAVE TO DIE!!?? And even though I will soon reincarnate, Lucia still won't. *Sigh* if I will reincarnate, that is. I have a feeling that I may not reincarnate due to my vessel being harmed. If Milim's pet is killed, I won't be able to reincarnate.

{Request to merge with Satoru Mikami. Do you accept? YES/NO} Huh? What's this? Merging? I used my remaining strength and used [Akashic Records] to figure out who this Satoru Mikami is. It turns out that he's from another world and is currently dying after getting stabbed while protecting his best friend. Hmm, his soul is incredibly strong. Strong enough to hold more than two Ultimate Skills. What is going to happen when I merge with him?

{Answer: The individual Veldanava will transform into a Manas, an evolution beyond an Ultimate Skill.} A manas, huh? Interesting. Very well, I accept but only if Milim's pet dragon dies before I get reincarnated.

Satoru POV

{Confirmed. Extra skill "Sage"...successfully acquired. Evolving extra skill "Sage" into Unique skill "Great Sage"... Successful. Requesting to merge soul with the individual Veldanava.}

 {Request Accepted! Merging the individuals, Satoru Mikami and Veldanava...success.}

Satoru: '...Hey, someone mind telling me who's talking? What do you mean, "unique skill 'Great Sage'"'? Someone tryin' to start something with me? There's nothing "unique" about that! If you think I'm finding that funny, I'm not! That's just mean, man...and who the hell is this Veldanava? What do you mean by merging?...' Before I could continue down that train of thought, however, I fell asleep.

Satoru: 'Weird how death's nowhere near as lonely as I thought it'd be.' That was the last thought I had on the mortal plane.
