Katsuki Bakugou X Reader {The mute twin of Izuku}

54 {Come on!!!}

"COME ON!!!" Kirishima and I shouted as we flew through the air with Izuku, Iida, and Shoji. I held eye contact with Katsuki and he clenched his jaw before steeling his expression. Shit.

"Dammit, get the hell outta here you nerds! Or I'll kill you!" He shouted at us. I felt a pang in my heart as the villains grinned. All for One used his quirk to forcibly make Kurogiri's quirk activate before all of the other villains went through it. My eyes widened as Katsuki glanced at my necklace, then avoided looking me in the eyes. Then he stepped through the portal with them. I felt tears stream down my cheeks as we flew through the air. Shoji guided us to an empty area. We were a long way away from the battle, leaving All Might to fight All for One. We landed and Shoji released us.

"..." I stared at the ground, visibly shaken. 

Shoji reached out to me. "Y/n-"

"Don't touch her." Izuku grabbed his arm. "We need to take cover. She's about to explode." He looked at me worriedly as he noticed me searching for a source of electricity that I could release all of this extra into. I also wanted to make myself short-circuit so I could go numb for a bit.

"Explode- what do you-!?" Iida tried speaking but Izuku grabbed his arm and started running to a nearby building. 

"Come on Kirishima!" He had Shoji grab Kirishima, who was staring at me. I started hyperventilating as I couldn't find anywhere to release it. I dropped to my knees, the pain unbearable, and I could see Todoroki and Yao-Momo running towards us, leading Denki with a backpack leash.

"What happened!?" Yao-Momo asked with worry.

"Going- to Explode! Take cover!" I shouted, barely containing the electricity. Her eyes widened and Todoroki grabbed Denki and threw him near me before he grabbed her and dove behind a building. I released a scream of agonizing pain as the electricity exploded, sending out a shockwave of energy right before the volts shot around the area. Most of them went to Denki, but some went astray and disappeared after a bit. 

My throat- burns

Everything went black. 

*Izuku's POV*

"Y/n!" I ran over to her. She had collapsed on the ground as Kaminari was starting to come to. I tried to pick her up but she shocked me. I winced initially, but then I was able to pick her up, cradling her in my arms. This is all my fault-

"Oh hey, Deku-" Denki sounded delirious. "Did we win?" 

"... No." I muttered as I hugged Y/n, I noticed the blisters on her neck had popped and reformed. I quickly removed the necklace and put it in my pocket before standing up with her. I shouldn't have had her absorb so much... "She needs a hospital." I declared. The others followed me in silence as we got on the train and went back to Musutafu City. After the 2 hours, it was almost 1 in the morning. I ran her to the hospital and they put her in emergency care, as the blisters had affected her throat.

*Y/n's POV*

I woke up, and remained motionless, staring at the ceiling. I didn't want to think. I didn't want to do anything. But, all I could think about, was the fact that I had finally annoyed Katsuki to the point that he didn't want to be with me anymore. I felt tears stream down my cheeks as I slowly looked to the side.

I saw the necklace on the bedside table, but it was different. I reached out to it and grabbed it. I pulled it back to me and examined it. It was coated in a clear silicone. I felt more tears stream down my cheeks as I gripped the necklace. 

"Katsuki-" I tried to say- but my voice was gone. My eyes widened, and I started crying more. Dammit. Dammit dammit DAMMIT!!! I repeatedly tapped my fist to my head before gripping my hair.

"Miss Midoriya?" A nurse stepped into the room. I glanced at her. "Oh, good, you're awake." She smiled at me. I tried to sit up. "No, please, don't do that." She smiled nervously as she approached my bedside. I nodded and stayed down. "You've prolonged seeking medical attention for so long- that a lot of the damage was irreparable." She declared, reading off of a clipboard. "Especially the burns along your arms and neck."

I glanced at my arms and saw the scars. Dammit. I opened my mouth to try to speak, but no sound came out.

"I'm sorry. We believe the electricity may have caused you to lose your voice. We are unable to determine whether it is temporary or permanent." She apologized. I shook my head as if saying I don't blame her. "You have a few visitors, would you like me to send them in?" She asked. I nodded. A few minutes later, Mom and Izuku came into the room.

"Oh, my baby!" Mom cried as she ran up and hugged me. Tears streaked my cheeks as I reached up and hugged her too. "Please, don't ever do that again!" She squeezed me.

"I'm sorry-" Is what I wanted to say, but I couldn't speak, so I started crying even more as I hugged her tightly.

"Y/n- why aren't sounds coming out of your mouth?" Izuku asked. Mom pulled away while turning to him.

"What do you mean?" Then she turned to me. "Wait- Y/n were you trying to speak?" She asked, tears still streaking her face. I started ugly crying as I nodded.

"Why can't you speak?" Izuku asked as he came close, tears welling up in his eyes.

"The electricity damaged my throat." I signed shakily, still sobbing. "The doctors don't know if they can fix it or not." 

"I'm so sorry Y/n!" Izuku hugged me tightly. I hugged him back and he started sobbing too. "I shouldn't have had Kaminari give you all of his electricity! I'm sorry! I've failed you as a big brother!" He cried, hugging tighter and tighter. I shook my head and he reluctantly looked back at me.

"No no, if I had left it to the pros none of it would have happened- and maybe...." I stopped signing.
