It was my 17th birthday. Yay I guess? I hate birthdays. Nothing ever happens, so it doesn't feel special at all. So, to me I'm just waking up on another Monday morning. Yes that's right, MONDAY. That's the worst day of the week for your birthday. I shut my annoying ass alarm clock off and got up. I got dressed and went downstairs. I had to get some breakfast before heading to school. Lame. At least it's almost summer break. I was met with my mother and father sitting at the table. Something was off. They were smiling and most of our shit was packed. "Morning mom, morning dad" I sighed, hiding it under my breath. "Happy birthday my love!" My mom smiled, giving me a big hug. "Thank you" I lightly smiled. "Sit down honey, me and your father need to discuss some big news with you" she smiled. I raised my eyebrow and sat down. "Why is our stuff packed?" I asked in confusion. "That's exactly what we want to talk about" she smirked and looked overjoyed. "Are you going to fill me in here or are you just gonna keep smiling?" I chuckled. "Remember the place you grew up at in California with all of your friends?" She smiled in excitement. "Yes, why?" I raised my eyebrow. "We're moving back in the neighborhood, I would start packing if I were you" she smiled, my father looked at me smiling, looking for a reaction out of me. My eyes went wide and my heart started pounding in my chest. I smiled wide, my body moved faster then my brain. I quickly stood up to run upstairs, knocking the seat down. I began to run towards the stairs. "Pick up the chair first!" My dad yelled laughing. I tripped over air as I ran back to pick up the chair I knocked over. I began running up the stairs. I heard my mom speak, it was faint but loud enough to hear it. "You don't have to go to school today either!!" I heard. I smiled wide at that.

After I got my things together, I ate my breakfast without knocking anything over, then I went to bed to sleep a little longer. If I'm not gonna go to school, I at least want to get some sleep. Only seconds before I fell asleep, my mom stormed into my room. "We've got to go to the airport now, you can sleep in the plane!" she yelled, making me groan. "Come on!!" She yelled before heading downstairs, leaving my door wide open, leaving me no choice but to get my shit and head out my bedroom door. Before I left. I took some time to take in all the rooms, windows, mirrors, and the colors of the paint on the walls. All the sights that I will only see this one last time. My home. I know it didn't feel as much of home as my old neighborhood, but it was still a nice place. I'm going to miss the small memories I've made. It's not like I'm leaving many friends behind. I only really had a few. This wasn't really the place for me. This will be a good thing. I took one last look then I shut the door of the house behind me. We loaded the last of our stuff into a moving van, got into the car and left. The airport wasn't too bad. The wait was a little long, but nothing I can't handle. All of our stuff was loaded onto these weird long carts and was loaded in the under part of the plane we were on. We finally got on the plane. The lady talked about rules and where emergency items were for what felt like hours. Then we finally took off. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep. I could literally fall asleep anywhere. I took the best nap of my life. I felt like I could feel the plane moving in my sleep. It was awesome.

A/n:

I know this was short. It will get longer as the chapters go. I'm already loving where this is going.
