Five Nights in Mike Schmidt (+18!)

The meet

Another night shift.

Another 6 hours to himself.

Mike sits on a chair by the security officer door, staring up at the ceiling. Outside, the sky is dark and cloudy, patches of rain falling in the distance. In his field of vision, he can see his little sister sleeping in a chair behind him, a blanket wrapped around her as her soft snores fill the quite ambiance of the pizzeria. The dim light of the room creates an eerie atmosphere that fills him with a sense of foreboding- and *extreme* boredom.

„Hello, Mike." Someone says, coming into the room. Mike jumps out of his seat as soon as he hears the voice and spins around to face her.

Mike: "Jesus! You scared me."

He's got adrenaline running through his veins, but manages to keep himself together. „Don't worry Mike! It's me, Koda! Remember me?" She says, worried that he didn't hear about her. Mike stares at her for a few seconds, a puzzled look crossing his face as he tries to place exactly who she is.

Mike: "I... I'm sorry. I don't recognise you. Who ARE you?" She sighs as her grin disappears and her voice turns sharp „The new employee? Your new helper? Jeez did Vanessa not tell you anything or did you not listen?"

Mike's eyes widen as he remembers.

Mike: "Right, right, right. Koda. Sorry, I haven't had my morning coffee yet. So uh, I guess Vanessa sent you over to help me out?"
He gestures around to the empty pizzeria.

Mike: "Because I definitely need the help."She giggles slightly and smiles „no worries Mike, and yeah.. that's what I'm for! Maybe.. maybe you want to have coffee together? You know to get to know each other."
She grabs his arm and leads the way „come on!"

Mike goes along with it, allowing her to lead him to the break room.
Mike: "Yeah, sounds good. I'd be nice to have someone to talk to other than these animatronic freaks."

He eyes the four animal robots nearby, their eyes glowing at the end of the corridor. They look terrifying in spite of being in "animatronic mode", and their blank stares creep Mike out.
