~• Chapter one•~

(William POV)

Mark and Aisha stood next to me while I opened the door to the castle. As soon as I opened the castle doors, we were greeted by Monica, Dorian, And Nico. Nico was still small again so he was just sitting on Dorian's shoulder. Dorian looked at me, then Aisha, then Mark, then back at me again. He knew Two people were missing.
“Where are Damien and Dani?” Dorian asked.
Those words struck me like a lightning bolt going into your body. I knew he was gonna ask that. So why was I surprised?. Maybe it's because of the fear of seeing Dorian React badly when he finds out they're gone. Or was it because of guilt I have built up in my body?
“Will.. Where is Dani and Damien?” Monica asked. I think she knew what was going on but needed a second answer. I looked at Mark and Aisha, they both looked at the ground or looked at me. They couldn’t face those three kids in front of us. Especially dorian,

“Dorian…i-” It wouldn’t come out of my mouth. I tried to speak but it didn’t work. The guilt inside was building up more and more. Why couldn’t I speak?.

“What?. William what is it!” Dorian yelled. His voice was Filled Worry and a little bit of anger.  It caught the attention of some of the guards so they came by to check what's going on.
“Dorian…. We're sorry- w-..” Mark said. He put his hand over his eyes. I guess so that way no one could tell he was crying. Dorian looked at Mark and Me. His eyes went wide.
“No-.. NO! Please don-”
“Dorian We're sorry. We tried to stop them..”

The boy just stood there, Unable to move or talk. Nico moved Closer to Dorian's cheek and hugged him. Must be weird for Dorian to feel a small human hugging your cheek. But he didn’t care. At the moment I could tell all that Dorian wanted was comfort. Monica also joined in on the hug.
Dorian fell straight into Monica's arm. Which caused Nico to quite literally scratch Dorian's neck, because in the moment that was the only thing the small dude could latch onto. All I could hear was crying and a hushed whisper between the three kids.

Some of me was hoping that Damien would just appear behind me and start yelling at me while dani would just lunge at Monica, Nico, and Dorian and basically kill them with her hugs. But that wasn’t gonna happen. They were dead.
The blood all over the walls of the cave was theirs. The terrified and blood curdling screams were theirs. Dani and Damien were dead. They were long dead. And hurts even more that I knew they did not have a peaceful death.
Instead they died in the most brutal and gruesome way ever.

“Nico can you take dorian up to his room. Ill be there in a minute” Monica asked the small Ginger boy. Nico nodded and whispered something into Dorian's ear. The two boys went up the stairs to their room.
“Will.. What happened?” Monice asked. I couldn’t speak once again. I just stepped back, hoping that Mark or Aisha would tell her. And that became true.
“It's too much of a blur” Aisha said. Monica nodded.
“Did they die peacefully..?”
“No. Honestly it was worse than Most Brutal deaths. I can still hear those screams” Aisha replied. You could say she was trying hard not to crawl on the floor and just cry. Monica looked at the ground.
“Go rest you three. You guys would need it” the princess said softly. She ran upstairs, probably going to Dorian and nico.
