(i remember hinting about Nobility and Feudalism during the inheritance test chapter i.e, 'Rights of conquer' so the Marquess is not out of nowhere. Moreover there's a Bloody Baron, so Feudalism is a concept still used in wizarding world. That also explains their discrimination between pure blood, half blood and Muggle-Born, you'll see the concept used in detail in future)

"Swear fealty? Az in become my vassal and subject?" I asked with a raised brow.

"Yes, indeed my Lord"

I chuckled

"If thiz iz about Alicia and her silly wiles please return back to your guest suite" I said, the girl had jumped up an down as i had explained my plan to her and
made that promise. I remember her telling me something about being eternally grateful or something.

"I won't deny that, but as her father i must account for her feelings and debts, she's not an adult and hence all her burdens are mine to bear. Moreover I believe if it's my lord that I serve my family and faction will be sure to see new light and revolution" was he just buttering me up? But....

His faction.....The squib association right? Well if he was willing to use the squib faction for me on top of swearing fealty....goodness I had the perfect little marionette and right hand man in the plan of my hand.

"Well, if it's how you feel i shall be honoured to take you under ze House of Forestrier" i pulled out my pheonix wand and saw his eyes widen.

"You still up for ze task" I asked smiling.

One part of the oath of fealty included swearing to always remain faithful to the lord. The oath of fealty usually took place after the act of homage, when, by the symbolic act of kneeling before the lord and placing his hands between the hands of the lord, the vassal became the "man" of the lord. Usually, the lord also promised to provide for the vassal in some form, either through the granting of a fief or by some other manner of support.
Typically, the oath took place upon a religious object such as a Bible or saint's relic, often contained within an altar, thus binding the oath-taker before God. Fealty and homage were key elements of European feudalism.Now there were a few edits to the whole procedure when it came down to wizards swearing fealty.

"Will you be fine if dis affair is kept esoteric? , you see I'm a man of many secrets" I said trying to push him. How far was he willing to go for Alicia? How deep was his loyalty truly?

"As long as My Liege is satisfied it matters not if I swear publicly or not" i nodded

"Kreacher!" I called out. "Please bring ze ritual stool from my vault"

10 minutes later, everything was prepared.

I had placed my wand on the low rune engraved stool.

"Excuse me if I make a mistake, it's my first time swearing a fealty" Howard said.
