It has been years since the millennium have been sealed away, the King of Games Yugi Moto has been keeping his role and his Rival Seto Kaiba has started a dueling school which has become the greatest on the planet, but today was follow the story of a the next generation of duelist: one called Y/n L/n. he has loved dueling since he was a kid and had a great friend growing called jaden, who was like him. But many people hated Jaden and Y/n didn't understand why. He was a good kid, as such the two were often playing against each other, Y/n even helped Jaden make some cards for Kaiba contest to be shot into space but Y/n stopped Jaden from sending another card up there as well called Yubel as he liked that card.

What the two didn't know was that the spirit Yubel saw Y/n as a trusted friend as he was no evil for Jaden and as such she liked him and wanted to keep him and Jaden safe and happy. As Jaden had a gift to see monster spirits and so did Y/n so he was aware of Yubel's presence, he liked talking to her. As the two got older they managed to get a chance to go to the Duel academy.
Right now Y/n was a little ahead cause he woke up early. But he was waiting for Jaden to get here. *Jaden I swear if we miss this chance I am gonna kill you* he thought as he heard Red eyes roar in agreement making him chuckle.
"Yo! Y/n!"
He looked up and saw his friend heading towards him. It was Jaden who looked even more happy which Y/n caught on to.

As the two high-fived "hi Jaden what took you so long? And what happened?" Y/n asked "I woke up late but I ran into the king of games and he gave me a card" Jaden said while showing Y/n the card which was a winged kuriboh.

I was happy to see my best friend: meet the King of Games and get a new card, "well come on dude. Don't want to be later than we already are" I said as we both headed in after getting checked in and sat down before we noticed two others next to us "so who are you two?" I asked "oh well I Syrus" the shorter one said "call me Bastion" the other one said as us four started to talk before mine and Jaden was accounted for as we headed down and saw our opponent.
