~SYAIR~

"You got everything" i shouted as we place our bags into the car. "I hope so". Today we were going down to my mom's for Christmas . Me and amir were on our way to meet at the gas station to can trail each other.

"You okay?" I tap her thigh as she looks over at me. "Im nervous" she shared fiddling with her hands. "Why?" I look over at her. "i don't know, its my first time meeting your mother in person" she says. "Baby, she gone love you i promise. She's been asking me when I'ma let her meet you since i told her about our first date." I reassured her. "Okay" she smiles. When i told my momma about Yori she was so excited. She call her more than she call me and i was her son.

I pulled up at the gas station spotting out Amir's car. "You want anything?" I ask her as i get out the car. "Some candy" she says. "What kind?" I ask her. "Um, starburst" I exit the car making my way into the store.

Going to the candy aisle picking up the starburst like she asked. "You ready to get on the road?" Amir asks coming from behind me holding a bunch of snacks. "Hell yeah" I say grabbing a bag of chips and two drinks.

Walking up to the register placing my items on the counter as the cashier rings them up. "How are you?"she asked grabbing the items. "Im good, can i get thirty on pump four" i say. "That'll be $42.21" she put the bags on the counter as i hand her the cash. She places it in the cash register as i grab my bags. " Thank you" i say grabbing my recipe and throwing it in the bag before making my way out the door. "You welcome , have a nice day" . "You too" the door shutting behind me.

I open the door placing the bag on the glove department as I go to pump gas. When I'm finish i get back in the car. "Damn you couldn't wait?" I blurted looking at her munching on the bags of chips. "No" she muffles. A chuckle leave my lips as I adjust myself in my seat.

I pull up next to amir as i roll the window. "Who leading?" I ask ."You is"

"Alright y'all be safe" i uttered before rolling up my window and hitting the main road.

After six hours of driving and a few stops—we finally made it to my mom's house. She feel asleep a hour after driving and been sleep every since. She had her seat laid back with a blanket thrown over her body, head pressing against the door. "Wake up" i said as i shook her feeling her starting to wake up. "Huh?" She mumbles stretching before she sits up. I put my car in park before turning it off and removing my seatbelt. "You ready?" I ask her turning my head to look. "No, im scared" she says looking out the window placing her hands in between her thighs. "Come on" i open up the door stepping out.

"Damn that was a long ass ride" Amir says as they shut their door. "Right, glad that's over with". I walk up to the porch knocking on it. The door opens and im met with my mother. "Ahhh" she screams pulling me into an tight hug. "Hey momma" i say hugging her back. "Hey baby" she chirped kissing me on the cheek. "How's ur wounds? Are you ok?" She places her hands on my chest. I let out a small laugh before nodding my head. "Hey" La'yori says poking her head out behind me, nervousness was laced all in her voice. "Hey baby" Mom said a wide smile appearing on her face as she hugs her. "It's so nice to finally meet you" she stated before letting her go. "You too". While they talked I headed to the car to get some bags.

La'yori ended up helping me after her and mom was done talking. I hope she wasn't running her mouth about me. "This is cute" yori says picking up a old photo of me in my football jersey. "How long you played for?" She asked walking around my room. "Till my junior year of high school" i say placing my toothbrush on the counter along with some other stuff.

"You know what your mom asked me?" She says joining me in the bathroom. "What?" I look over at her. "When were gonna start giving her grand babies" she laughs. A smile form on my face the more she laughs. "We can start right now" i tease placing her on the counter. "You play to much" she softly hit my chest as i kiss her neck. "Who said I'm playing" i stare down at her lips.
