Chapter One: Journey To Hogwarts

Joey Adams was a normal boy living in the muggle world along with his younger sisters who were twins named Alice and Jamie, they were not identical. They were only one year younger than him though. Joey was a ten year old boy and was living happily with his parents named Paul and Julie Adams. Joey was a decent looking boy. He had short and messy dark brown hair with dark brown eyes that were so dark that they almost looked black, the same goes with his sisters, but their hair was long and wavy. The odd thing was, their parents both had dirty blonde hair and one had blue eyes and the others was green. No one knew why the children had different characteristics, except for Paul and Julie. They knew that all of their kids were adopted. They were planning on telling them when they all turned thirteen but different events happened so they had to tell them sooner.

One evening on the day of Joey's eleventh birthday (July 29), there came a letter to the front step of his house and a knock at his door. "I'll get it!" Jamie said. She ran to the door and opened it. "Hello?" she said. "Is anybody out here?" Finally she looked down and saw the letter on the step that said,

To: Joey Tom Riddle 17 Willow Lane, the bedroom on the 2nd floor, closest to the hallway window

"MOM!!!" Jamie yelled. "JOEY HAS A LETTER!" She ran to the kitchen and handed her mom the letter. "Thank you sweetie." she said. Jamie ran off to go watch some t.v. Meanwhile, Julie examined the letter very carefully. She noticed that there was a stamp with the letter 'H' on the back. "Joey!" she yelled. Joey came slowly down the stairs. "What?" Julie handed him the letter and said, "I think you've been invited to a birthday party or something." Joey looked at the letter and asked, "Why does it say Joey Tom RIDDLE?" "It's probably nothing..." Julie said. She knew that Riddle was Joey's real last name. She just figured that he and his friends had a little joke going on. "Alright thanks." Joey said. Then he walked up to his room and ripped open the envelope, then read,

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY Headmistress: Minerva McGonagall

"Dear Mr. Riddle,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl no later than the 20 of August.

Yours Sincerely, Minerva McGonagall Headmistress"

"MOM," Joey yelled and went back to the kitchen where Julie was making dinner. "Jamie and Alice are trying to prank me again, and will you please tell them to stop. It's getting annoying!" Julie sighed. "Alice, Jamie! Get in here!" The twins ran in and Alice spoke first. "What?" Joey gave her a mean look and said, "You know what you did!" The twins looked confused. "Did you two prank Joey again?"Julie said. "No." the twins said at the same time. "Then how come I have a stupid letter from a magical school called Hogwarts?" Suddenly Julie had a flashback. There was an orphanage lady saying, "If you ever get a letter from Hogwarts, then send an owl back to the school, and do everything the letter says, trust me!" Julie came back to reality and said, "Joey, give me that letter!" Joey handed it over but looked confused. Julie read the letter and said, "I believe it! It would explain a lot! I have to tell Paul!"
