"KENZIE GET THE HELL UP BEFORE DAD AND MADDIE LEAVE YOU!" Someone screamed in my ear, waking me up, & earning them a glare.
"I'm up, damn. No need to yell Dal."
She smirked and left the room. Thankfully, I'd packed last night before we all watched movies. I rolled out of bed, switching out my shorts for sweatpants. Deciding to leave my hair down, I grabbed my duffle bag, throwing my phone charger into it, grabbed my flip flops, having already packed my boots & converse, I ran downstairs.
"All ready girls?" Dad asked, looking between Maddie & I for answers.
"Yep." We said simultaneously.
"Good. Say goodbye to your mom & sisters and we'll be off." Dad says before taking our bags and putting them in the car.
"Bye Dem. I'll text you as much as I can." I tell her before kissing her cheek.
"You better babygirl. I'm gonna miss you two." Demi says, hugging both of us.
After a few more minutes of goodbyes, Maddie and I go out to the car. After 10 minutes, Dad finally made it to the car, but he was too late. Maddie and I had already taken over the radio and were blasting music.Dad shook his head. "This is going to be a long 18 hours."
The music had died down an hour into the trip when both Maddie and I fell asleep. At about 8 at night, dad pulled into a subway to get us food and use the bathroom. Surprisingly he'd only stopped for gas once & Maddie & I stayed asleep the entire 10 hours we'd been on the road. After dinner, I switched with dad and drove the last 8 hours and some odd minutes to my old house. Thankfully Demi had bought it, so nobody had moved in. After getting settled in for the night, Maddie had convinced dad to watch The Longest Ride with us - he cried, even though he doesn't admit to it. We all fell asleep at about 2 in the morning on the couch.
~THE NEXT MORNING~
I woke up before anyone else, so I decided to head to the store quick and grab some things to make breakfast. I was home in about a half hour to, thankfully, find dad & Maddie still asleep. I had just finished up breakfast when they woke up.
"Well good morning sleeping beauties. Breakfast is on the table. Let's eat & get to touring." I said, sitting down across the table from dad.
"What do you wanna do today guys?" I asked, taking a bite of my pancakes.
"I wanna go see your high school and talk to this bitch Ashley." Maddie said, her mouth full of pancakes.
"Maddie, language." Dad said, "But I do agree with Madison. I need to meet the girl that made my babygirl cry." Dad said, finishing off his first plate of pancakes.
"Well, let me check with a few people and I'll see if we can track her down today." I pulled out my phone, typing out a text to Tiffany.
To: TIff.(:
Hey, do you have softball today? I need to have a word with Ashley.
I waited for a reply, while eating the rest of my pancakes.
"I'm gonna go hop in the shower." Maddie said, putting her plate in the sink, leaving dad & I to make small talk.
"Now that Maddie's gone, I don't have to watch my language," He chuckled. "I need to talk to this Ashley bitch, she does not get away with making my daughter cry."
"I don't even know if we can track her down, dad. I'm just winging it here with softball practice." I said, checking my phone.
From: Tiff.(:
Yeah, 3:30 at the field behind the school, but i didn't see the bitch at school, so I don't know if she'll be at practice. Feel free to come say hi though, since you're back in town.(:
To: Tiff.(:
What's with the attitude Tiff? I didn't plan to come here, it was spontaneous, I needed to spend more time with my little sister and step dad, I wanted to get to know them better. I didn't mean to upset you.
