"Report to me, Advisor."

"General, sir! The Enemy is approaching the front lines, sir!" A young Twilight saluted, his hand never dropping from his forehead.

As of now, he was no longer a mere Westalian citizen. According to his friends, he was an advisor, someone crucial for staking missions. The demise of their mortal eastern enemy, Ostania, would someday lie in his hands. As such, he took his role extremely seriously.

"At ease, advisor," the General ordered before grinning and running toward their secret base. To an outsider, it was nothing more than an army storage depot, but to them, it was their only defense against the enemy.

Inside, the general collected up their finest weapons, including the toy gun and army helmet set. The young Twilight stood firm at attention, waiting for his friend to return. That is, until he felt a tap on his left shoulder.

"Can I play?" A young girl with (h/c) asked, shifting from one foot to the next. She wore a traditional skirt he had seen his own mother wear in town, but seemed to be around his age. The young boy looked at her skeptically, unsure if it would be a good idea to let her in on all their secrets.

Thankfully, the general emerged from the shed just in time, eyeing the newcomer with uncertainty.

"What's this girl doing here?" The General questioned as he returned to the post with weapons in hand.

"I'm not sure," young Twilight shrugged, "she asked to play with us."

"Hmmm," the General wondered, tapping his finger to his chin thoughtfully. "She could be our secretary."

You scrunched your face in discontent at the boy's suggestion. Truthfully, you had been spying on the four boys for the past few days ever since you discovered their secret hideout. So today, when you noticed that it was just the two of them, you hoped that maybe they'd let you join. You didn't make many friends at school, and what with the recent aggressions between East and West rising, your parents had become more weary of sending you off to school, opting to homeschool you instead.

"I don't want to be a secretary, that's boring," you interjected, hands folded stubbornly across your chest.

"Then what do you want to be?" The blonde asked.

You pondered for a moment, then said, "I want to be a stenographer!"

"What the heck is that?"

Young Twilight answered before you could. "It's someone who decodes messages in shorthand. My dad made me learn about them."

That was barely scratching the surface of what his father forced him to know about war. He remembered vividly sitting at his desk until the late hours of the night as his father drilled the gruesome details of violence and bloodshed. The memory alone made him shudder.

"Are you alright?" You reached for the boy's hand, concern etched on your small face. You may only have the emotional range of a six-year-old, but the distraught on the blonde's face was clear.
