Saccharine and Vinegary

Chapter 9

They left the car after Kevin changed his shirt.

They saw Oliver and Rylee standing ahead discussing something.

Oliver and Rylee saw them approaching, they stopped their discussion and moved towards them.

Oliver said 'Lets go to our classes. They are supposed to start 5 minutes early.'

Ethan said to Kevin by pulling his hand 'Go to your class first with Oliver. We ll meet later okay.'

Kevin nodded and said silently 'Bye.'

Then Oliver and Kevin went to their building and Ethan and Rylee went to their building.

As the time for lunch break approached Ethan, Rylee, Oliver and Kevin started to pack their bags.

After the bell rang they grabbed their packed bags and left the classroom.

As Oliver and Kevin left their building, they saw Rylee approaching so they went to him and then they saw Ethan coming from far away so the three waited for him.

After having full family of four they started to decide which canteen area to try.

Atlast they decided Arts building because they have heared its the most beautiful building in the whole campus.

They reached the canteen then they decided what to get.

They decided on lean meat and vegetable kebabs, warm chicken salad, hot rolls or wraps,  souvlaki and skinless chicken drumsticks.

After they finished their lunch.

Rylee said feeling satisfied 'It was good decision to come here. It wasn't a waste of time.'

Oliver said facing Kevin 'Hmm. The food here was good. What about you Kevin? How was it?'

Kevin replied crudely 'It was good.'

Ethan frowned at his short reply and thought Kevin is quiet today, he didn't say anything and didn't smile. Did I go overboard today. But It was showing his skin through the white shirt. I didn't like that everyone will see his beautiful skin. It is mine to see only nobody else.

He didn't thought his action and thinking was out of context he was not his lover to show this type of concern but he didn't correct his thought and kept them deeply in his heart.

As they left the canteen area and walked towards park where benches were left unoccupied.

They sat on a bench and enjoyed the greenery around them.

Ethan grabbed Kevin's hand and said soflty not to upset him more 'Are you upset about the matter of changing shirt.'

Kevin shook his head and said plainly 'No. I am not.'

Ethan frowned 'No V you are upset. Tell me did I do something wrong.'

Kevin thought to keep it in but he couldn't and glared 'Yes I am upset. You threatened me by talking about the consequences.' And his eyes filled with tears which shocked Ethan to his core.

Ethan hugged him immediately 'Shush don't cry V. Its my fault. I am a bad guy here. Don't cry V please. I beg you. Your every drop of tears breaks my heart V. I didn't threatened you I just wanted to say that if you ll not change the shirt I ll do it myself.'

Kevin lifted his head from his shoulder 'Really. You just meant that. I thought that you will not talk to me anymore and leave me if I didn't do what you said.'

Ethan seeing Kevin's misty eyes filled with tears he said 'Damn V. Your eyes will get swollen. If I leave you and won't talk to you that will be torture to me V. I can't do that. Never. How can I ever think about that? Its never gonna happen. Now stop crying. Its making me depress to death. Don't do this to me V.'

Kevin nodded and said 'I ll stop crying. You really mean that right. You ll never do that right.'

Seeing Kevin stopped crying Ethan sighed with relief and said 'Ofcourse V. Never.'

And kissed his forehead without thinking about his surrounding as how many people will see it? How they will interpret it?  What will be the result? Nothing mattered to him.

As Ethan lowered his mouth to kiss his eyes Oliver interrupted them and said 'Not here guys. I know how it is but others don't so keep it in outside the home. See your surrounding. Its not good here.'

Rylee too added angrily 'And Kevin you are just so silly. How can anybody think that from such words? You are too much. Holy shit. You are going to be punished.'

Oliver said 'Yeah. If Ethan didn't ask about the matter you were going to keep it bottle up inside. You have us your family Kevin. You could have just ask us what Ethan meant by that. We would have cleared the misunderstanding earlier. And I didn't even notice there is something wrong with you until now. Fucking shit.'

Kevin sighed and controlled his emotion 'I am sorry Oliver, Rylee. I just thought too much on my own. I didn't realise it could mean that. I felt like I ll cry if I say anything to you. It will worry you so I didn't tell you. I am sorry.'

Ethan said softly 'There is no need to feel guilty but don't do it next time okay. They care about you so they worry about you. Its not bad to share your worries to others. Its good for your mind. Don't do it next time.'

Kevin nodded and Rylee said to lighten the mood 'There is nothing to be sorry about but you ll receive your punishment today. You can't run away from it. Rules are rules.'

Kevin smiled at Rylee's punishment talk.

Kevin said 'Rules are made to be broken.'

Rylee widened his eye and said dramatically 'Oh you cheater. Running from his punishment like a coward.'

Kevin replied 'You are a coward. I am not running from any punishment I am just stating that rules are made to be broken. Don't you agree with me.' Pointed towards Oliver.

Oliver smiled 'It depends from person to person.'

At his answer Kevin replied 'Traitor.'

As the bell rang their bikering came to an end.
