Cate Ellis hated the idea of moving. She was leaving behind her friends, school, sports, and her house. But here she was pulling up into the driveway of her new home.
"Get out of the car Cate", her mom said.
She grabbed her backpack and got out of the car. Her house was in a big neighborhood with lots of houses.
"Help your sister with her stuff, okay?"
"Ok", said Cate
About an hour later, all of the boxes were inside and Cate was setting up her room. She put up her music posers (Lana and phoebe Bridgers obvv) and took her guitar out of the box. Once her room was done, she went outside to practice volleyball and set up her net (if u don't play volleyball pretend u do 💋)
While she was setting up her net, she heard kids in the house next door. Then one wearing a red number one jersey ran out of the house and into her front yard.
"Luna, come out here and play soccer with me", she yelled.
"Can't dude, I'm busy recording a new song", said the other girl.
Then the girl in red looked over and noticed Cate looking at her. She had brown hair that was in a ponytail and pretty green eyes.
"So you're the new girl, huh?", the girl said as she walked over to her.
"And you are...", said Cate.
"Lynn Loud Jr.", the girl said as she put her hand out for Cate to shake.
"You play soccer?", asked Lynn. Cate used to play, but she's not as good now.
"I used to. What about volleyball? I'm setting up my net right now if you wanna play", offered Cate.
"Only if you're ok with being beat", said Lynn.
"We'll see about that", Cate said as she laughed.
The two girls played volleyball and to Lynn's surprise, Cate beat her ass.
"You got lucky", said Lynn.
"Nice try, Loud"
"So you're new right.. are you going into 9th at Royal Woods?", asked Lynn.
"Yeah. You?"
"Me too, I'll see you around, new girl", said Lynn as she walked away.
"See you", said Cate.
Who was this girl and why was she kinda Cate's type???
