Yaya's POV

Friday 3:30 pm

"Damn excuse you!" I said passing by the crowd of disrespectful skater boys who had not even the slightest knowledge of manners or common courtesy.

"My bad ma." One out of the bunch decided to speak up, while it was nice of him to apologize his eyes never got past my ass.

"My eyes are up here jackass." I rolled them, making sure that he could see it clearly.

I tried yet again to get around the group.

"Fat ass bitch wanna be disrespectful and shit, lucky anybody talked to her big ass." Another scoffed.

I stopped dead in my tracks, a smile creeping upon my lips. I turned around sweetly walking back to the group.

"What?" I asked kindly.

No one said anything they all stared at me as if they didn't expect me to respond.

"Let me just shine some light on this 'disrespectful' situation. My 'Big Ass' isn't lucky for anything because I don't beg anybody of even the same breed as you to turn their nose my direction much less speak to me. Why would I? Someone of the likes of you or anybody else in this group wouldn't even be on the same educational level as me much less the same maturity level. It's obvious you're here because your rich parents forced you here for some type of education that you're obviously lacking, and I doubt you will ever endure. So do me a favor, someone who chose to be here to get some education and do something with their life. Stay out of my way." I smiled sweetly before turning back around. " And I may be fat but ya daddy like it bitch!" I flipped my natural hair over my shoulder before strutting away from the group of brainless Neanderthals.

They had really struck a nerve early on this beautiful Friday evening. It was true I was on more of the plus size side of women but my shape was to kill for besides the little pudge and thighs that I'd never seemed to lose from those 'Baby Fat' years. Most times I had to remind myself of that to counteract the lingering insecurities that stuck with me through my years. But nevertheless they still found a way to manipulate my mind into thinking I was the biggest girl on campus sometimes.

I cleared my head of the flood of insecurities that at this moment were trying to get the very best of me, which was unfortunate because at this moment I was preparing to go take an exam for my Child Health & Safety class in 45 minutes and I needed very desperately to be focused.

"Yaya!" I heard someone call from a distance but it had only caught my attention at the second mention of my name.

"Myona!" A deep voice called causing me to whip my head around. I smiled as I watched my brother approach me with open welcoming arms.

"Hey fat head!" I laughed opening my arms to hug him.

"What's good? I been texting you!" He said standing back, looking down at me for an answer, seeing as how I was only 5'4 to his 6'8 frame.

"I turned my phone off, I had to study for this exam. It's in like 45 minutes and I'm dying of hunger!" I exaggerated attempting to make him buy me lunch.

He playfully rolled his eyes laughing.

"C'mon fat girl, let's go get Chick-Fil-A, my treat."

I pouted at his words rolling my eyes.

"I'm only letting that remark go because you're buying lunch, but that shit is not okay. you said you'd stop calling me that!" I stressed

"Watch ya mouth." he snapped quickly. " And you gone always be my fat girl, I been calling you that since we were little."
