-CHAPTER THRITEEN-

''I must admit. In all the time i've been here, i've never met anyone like you two.'' The Handler exclaims while she, Five and Y/n were walking down the Commission. Y/n was walking on her mother's left side while Five walks on the Handler's left side. Putting the Handler between the two.

''Hazel and Cha-Cha for example, are talented, certainly but, they can't see the big picture.'' The woman informs them, Y/n doesn't seem to give a shit and Five doesn't have an expression on his face.

''You two are spunk, your enterprising spirit--'' The Handler throws her arm around Five's shoulder pulling him along.

Y/n keeps the same glare as before but the Handler doesn't seem to notice. ''Didn't i just tell you to get your own?'' She reminds her of a few minues ago.

Five looks at her confused but immediatly gets it when he realize what she was referring to.

The Handler chuckles and removes her arm from Five's shoulder as she continues to talk. ''Well, it reminds me a great deal myself. If...i may be so vainglorious.''

They walk to the front doors of the Commission as they walk up the steps. ''If things work out here, for the both of you. You two could potentially make a fine succesor.''

Y/n holds her pace and looks around the building. ''Who says things are going to work out here?'' Y/n mutters with a scoff as she continues walking.

Once they were inside Five decides to speak up. ''I like to discuss the logistics of my family's safety at your earliest convience.'' They walk up the stairs in a fast pace. ''As much as this body replacement.''

''Such chutzpah'' The Handler commented while the ticking of her red heals ecoes the hallway. ''It's refreshing, i'll admit.'' She admits while taken notice of Five's fast pace. ''Slow down Five. All in good time. In fact, now when you two have finally decided to work for us--''

''Like we had a choice.'' Y/n mutters under her breath.

''We've got all the time in the world.''

Y/n was already tired. The ticking of her mother's heals was sickening her. She wanted to go home. This was the last place she wanted to be.

''The Commission works in support of a delicate balance between the time line of events and mankind's freewill.'' She explains as she points at the room that was filled with briefcases. ''The briefcase is no longer part of your kit. Free your mind.'' The Handler tells them. ''You're management now.''

After a few minutes they reach another floor that was mostly were all the case managers work. ''All the people on this floor are case managers, each one responsible for one major event at the time.'' The Handler explains the two children as they made it to a room full of case managers working at their desk, The only sound to be heard is the sound of ticking against the keyboard letter of the typmachine.

Y/n stands in the doorframe, a shook look plastering her face. So many people, so much of them.

''So many of them.''

''Impressive right? To be apart of something so...grand.'' The Handler says with a smile. Five and Y/n look at the people in the room while axienty floods over them.
