Promise

He was born alive but he live lifeless. He grew up without a mother. He live with his father and with those judgeful relatives. Everyday they tease, scream and shout on him. No one protect him. Being in this life he wish to die but someone suddenly change his life. It was a girl with a bright smile and meaningful words.

He grew up with that girl. The girl always make him smile. She always encourage the the boy and make him believe in his self. Shes the one who protects the boy from the judgeful people. Shes the only friend of the boy until they grown up and became bestfriends.

One night, they lay in the grassy ground and look at the sky.

" Bestfriend, I promise to always make you happy whatever it brings to me!" said the boy sincerely and joyfully

"Me, too, bestfriend. I'll do everything to make you happy." replied the girl

One day, the boy saw the girl crying in the park. He was shocked and trembled for it was the first time he saw his bestfriend cry.

" Hey bestfriend! Why are you crying?" he asked

" He's about to die! I can't live without him!" the boy knew the person she's talking about. It was her boyfriend.

The next day, the girl stay at home crying all the time. The boy try to call and visit her but the girl didn't entertain until one day, the boy saw the girl in the park.

" Hey bestfriend! I miss you!" he said but there's no reaction coming from the girl.

" I know its not the right time to tell you this but, I have to tell you something before I.........."

" I don't have time to listen to you right now." said the girl coldly

" Please go away."

" But......"

" Go away!!!" the girl shout

The girl was perfectly shock of the reaction of the girl. It was the first time the girl shout on him.

" If your thinking of him, he'll be O.K.! I promise!" said the boy.

" Shut up!! Don't say promises! Stop it! You always broke your promise! Your a liar!"

The boy was perfectly shock. He never though of those words coming from his bestfriend. It hurts him deeper. It gives him so much pain. It brakes his heart and stop it from beating.

" I- I didn't mean........"

" No, its OK." said the boy without looking the girl.

" You know, yo-your wrong. There's a promise that i haven't and will never brake it. It was to make you happy." after saying this words the boy look up and trying to stop his tears.

" Now I know, I'am not the one who can make you happy. It's him. I have no use."

The girl look at the boy. She feels guilt and sorry for what she had said. She knew she had hurt her bestfriend so much.

" You know, your the one who broke a promise but don't worry. My promise will never be broken." after saying those words, the boy quickly run and wiping his tears she failed to stop. The girl feel so sorry. She feel of loosing another important person in her life.

The next day, the girl try to cheer up . She go to school and keep looking her bestfriend but she failed. She can't find her bestfriend anywhere. Then the girl decided to go to the house of her bestfriend. When she is there, she knocked and a boy open the door. Its not her bestfriend.

" Where's my bestfriend?" she asked

" Uhhh... Ummm... He's having a vacation. Bye!" the boy quickly close the door. The girl came to think that maybe she really hurt her bestfriend that much so he neede a vacation.

After days and days, she haven't seen her bestfriend. She keeps on waiting but it's already a month past she still haven't seen her bestfriend.

This morning, she decided to walk in the park but surprisingly, she saw her boyfriend. The boy run towards the girl and hug her. The girl were perfectly shock.

" Your alive?!" The girl asked joyfully

" Yes! Thanks for your bestfriend!" the girl were shock of what she has heard. She feels bad.

" What d'you mean?" she asked.

" Your bestfriend had donated his heart on to me." the girl feels the pain and guilt but it is much deeper. She never expect it then suddenly the boy gave a note to the girl.

" Before he did it, he pleased me to give this to you." then the girl open the note.

Note:

Hey bestfriend! I know our last conversation was perfectly different. But as I sayI'm going to make you happy. You boyfriend is alive. Take care of him for my heart is on him. Don't worry he'll never hurt you.

Bestfriend, I love you more than what you expect. Goodbye! : " )

After reading the note, the girl feel the greatest pain in her heart. She feel the greatest guilt. She start to cry.

" Let's go to there house!"

They quickly run to the house of her bestfriend. She opens the door without knocking. Everybody look at her but she dont care for her full attention was on her bestfriend lying in the coffin and perfectly asleep. She never expect seeing her bestfriend like this. Then a boy came near to her, it was the boy she talk to last time.

" What happen?" she asked

" He has a cancer. That cancer was from his mother. The day you came here, he's not really in a vacation. He's in the other country, hoping to look for the cure but we failed."

" Why haven't you tell me?!"

" It's my step-brother's wish!"

The gil was surprised of what she heard. She never knew that he's bestfriend has a step-brother. Her bestfriend was just the son of his father's mistress that why they treat I'm like that. Another thing is that she never thought that her bestfriend can hide a problem from her.

" But we really thought that he had tell you before that day."

The girl think about the day the boy was talking about. Then a flashback came.

(Flashback)

" Hey bestfriend! I miss you!" he said but there's no reaction coming from her

" I know its not the right time to tell you this but, I have to tell you something before I.........."

" I don't have time to listen to you right now." she said coldly

" Please go away."

" But......"

" Go away!!!" she shout

(End of Flashback)

The knew the word his going to say.

"Before I die" she said.

"No!" she scream

" He's going to tell me but I just ignore him. I became selfish! He's going to tell me something before he die, I want to know what is it but, its already late." the guilt the girl feel became more deeper and deeper. She cover her face with her hand. Suddenly, she heard a voice. That voice was coming from her bestfriend.

" Hey bestfriend! Don't cry. I'm still alive! I'am holding you hand right now. I'm just going to say I love you!"

Then the girl feel that someone is holding her hand closely and tightly. When she open her eyes, she look at the person who is holding her hand. It was her boyfriend. She knew where the voice of her bestfriend coming from. It comes from the beating heart of her bestfriend inside of her boyfriend.
