The party- chapter 3

Cate got home and did her homework then she got ready for the party. She put on a black corset top and ripped jeans then she touched up her makeup from school. After she had dinner she heard a knock on the door. 

She went to go open it up and saw Lynn. She's wearing jeans, a white top, and a red flannel with her hair in a braid. Cate admitted she looks really good. 

"Hey Cate, so I'm going to the party at Annies and my parents wanted to offer you a ride too since we are, you know, neighbors"

"You are going right?", asked Lynn

"Yeah, that sounds nice, thank you", answered Cate

"You wanna come over before since we don't need to leave for like 30 mins?", asked Lynn

"Sure", said Cate. She was kinda excited to spend time with Lynn. 

The two walked over to Lynn's house and were greeted by her ten siblings. Omg she has a big family. Lynn introduced Cate to all of them and then they went up to her room. 

"Holy shit", Cate said as she jumped. Lynn's sister Lucy was sitting on her bed and petting a fake doll (normal Lucy activities tbh). 

"Lucy, get out!", Lynn yelled at her. 

"Sigh", Lucy said as she left, leaving her creepy doll on the bed.

"Sorry about her. Hardest person to share a room with I swear", said Lynn

"That's ok. My sister can be weird too sometimes. Nice room by the way", said Cate. 

(If you haven't watched trlh basically her room has a bunch of trophies and sports stuff)

"Thanks Catey", said Lynn

"What's with the nickname, Loud", asked Cate

"Shut up", Lynn said as she threw a pillow at Cate.

"Should we go now??", asked Cate

"Yeah, cmon"

The two girls walked downstairs and Luna gave Lynn a look. Kinda like a "who's that girl" look. Lynn had never had a girl over before. Not that her and Cate were dating but... (foreshadowing🫢🫢??)

They arrived at the party 10 minutes later and they both saw their friends. Cate ran over to go talk with her friends and Lynn went to play pop a shot with some people.

"Cate, you made it!!" Her friend Sloane said. 

"Of course."

"Since when did you know Lynn? Why did you two walk in together?" Daisy asked.

"Oh we are neighbors. She's really chill though, and her family is hugeee", Cate replied

"Mkayy. Watch out though she's friends with people like Danny and Madison", her friend Emaline said. 

"What's wrong with them?" Cate asked.

"They're nice... just REALLY competitive sometimes. Lynn is the co-captain of the soccer team and sports are like a big deal to them", Emaline responded. 

"They are to me too, but I get what you mean. She's nice though so far", said Cate. (Poor girl is in denial y'all)

"I'm gonna go talk to her. I'll see you guys later though", said Cate as she walked up to Lynn at the pop-a-shot

"Hey Catey, I was just about to ask if you wanted to film me totally smashing this guy in pop-a-shot", Lynn asked. 

"Poor guy thinks he can beat me. So will you?" Asked Lynn as she handed Cate her phone.

"Beat his ass", Cate says as she took the phone from Lynn and started recording. She couldn't lie Lynn is hella good and she looks really hot beating this guy. But Cate liked guys, right?

The game ended and Lynn beat him 67-45. Lynn ran up and hugged Cate then picked her up and spun her around (AHH I CANT THATS SO CUTEE). She took the phone from Cate and looked at the video.

"Thanks for filming that, Cutie", Lynn said not even thinking about what she just called Cate. 

That nickname sent Cate into a total panic and she was a blushing mess. Like imagine this emoji irl: 😳

"Yeah, no worries", bro could barely get a word out

"Want me to get you a drink?", Lynn asked

"Sure. Just get me a soda or something", replied Cate

Cate went to go get to know some of the people Lynn was talking with as Lynn went to get a drink. 

"You're Cate right?", one of the girls asked her

"Yeah, why?"

"Lynn has been talking about you all day. I think she likes you, don't tell her I told you though", the girl said

Then Lynn came back with the drinks and put her hands on Cate's lower back. "Hey", she said.

"Lynn! I dare you to take a shot", one of the boys dared her. It was a high school party but they are only freshmen so Cate has barley drank before.

"Oh bet", Lynn said. "Want one too, Cate?", Lynn asked

"Thats ok, maybe later though", responded Cate.
