Y/N POV:
Her eyes flicker between both of us awaiting a response. Me and Enid just look at each other, her with wide eyes, me fighting a laugh. Wednesday clears her throat to gain our attention again. Her parents and Principal Weems watch silently, seemingly waiting to sees what happens. Wednesday then picks up the teddy that hit her, a fluffy unicorn, and holds it out and away from her like it disgusts her, which makes me want to laugh more. She then picks up a pair of scissors from her table and hold them open around the unicorn's neck.
"Who threw this?" She asks again. "If no one answers, I will decapitate this unicorn."
"Wait, no, don't hurt one of my babies," Enid says standing up.
Before Wednesday can go to reply again, there's a soft bang on the door. We all turn to look at the source of the sound, then I stand up to go look what caused the bang. As I walk towards the door, there's a quiet meow from the other side. I then rush to open the door to let my familiar, Ingrid, in. She strolls into the dorm and jumps up onto Enid's bed. Everyone turns to look at her, while Enid sits back down to stroke her.
"Why did that cat just appear?" Asks Wednesday.
"I'm a witch, and she's my familiar, her name is Ingrid."
Ingrid purrs and stretches out on Enid's lap, then fully lays down, enjoying the attention she's receiving. I sit back down on Enid's bed, as Wednesday seems to have forgotten about the unicorn she was holding for ransom, and has dropped it on the floor. Ingrid then gets up from Enid's lap and jumps down onto the floor. She then strolls over to Wednesday and rubs up against her leg. Wednesday stands very still, looking extremely uncomfortable with the sudden contact.
"It means she likes you," I say, smiling at Wednesday's stiffness.
"Well, I certainly don't like this," She says, refusing to remove her eyes from Ingrid.
"Ingrid she doesn't like it, come here," I say to her patting the spot next to me on the bed.
She meows at me in a whiny tone.
"Yes, I know you do, but it's making her uncomfortable."
She then replies snappily and with annoyance, but slowly walks away from Wednesday and jumps back on the bed, in between me and Enid.
"Did you just have a conversation with your cat?" Wednesday asks, doubtfully.
"Yes, since she's my familiar we can share emotions and thoughts, so we can understand and communicate with each other," I say. "Even though she barely ever listens, or if she does, it's always begrudgingly."
Ingrid then sassily flicks her tail at me in retaliation.
"You do realise you're just proving my point, right?" I ask her.
She then stands up and sasses me again. She walks over to the other side of the bed so she's next to Enid.
"See what I mean?"I ask. "She's a total drama queen."
"Yes, I have noticed that," Wednesday says.
A car honks it horn outside, causing Ingrid to jump and me to laugh. Wednesday walks over to the window, and looks down.
"It's Lurch," She says to her parents. "He seems to be getting impatient."
She catches my eye as I pull a face at hearing the name.
"What's the issue?" She asks, seeing the odd look on my face.
"Look, I'm sorry, but what kind of a name is 'Lurch'," I say.
"He's our driver for today," Wednesday says.
I go over to the window and look out of it to see Lurch stood next to their car, in a full chauffeur uniform.
"He looks like Frankenstein to be honest."
"Yeah, I've heard that a lot when going out and into the town," Morticia says. "Anyway, we'll be leaving now. Wednesday, will you see us out?"
Wednesday simply nods, as they all leave the dorm. Weems stays behind for a moment longer.
"Thank you both for this, I trust you will both make Miss Addams feel very welcome at Nevermore," Weems says, smiling.
"Of course," Enid says brightly.
"Yeah, no problem, Principal Weems" I say.
Weems seems satisfied with our responses as she then leaves our dorm, with a bright smile on her face. I then lay back on Enid's bed and sigh heavily. She lays next to me and we roll over to look at each other.
"This is going to be an interesting year," I say.
"I think she could be nice," Enid says. "Let's give her a chance."
"Enid, have you seen her area?" I say. "It looks like a damp attic that a serial killer would use to hide all their victims bodies."
"Do not put that image in my head," Enid says, as she playfully hits me.
"Yeah, well I have the bed in the middle of the room, so I have to sleep next to her musty stuff."
Enid giggles, then the door flies open as Wednesday walks in again. I see Ingrid get ready to pounce, and look at her in confusion. Before I can ask her what she's looking at, she strikes.
