The door swung open... And Emily with tears running down her face and ruining her makeup stood there.."I-I get it now.." she began to say in a quiet sad voice. "..Why you never let me kiss you on the lips..and why you never kissed me.." she wiped her tears messing up her makeup even more. My eyes widened as soon as I saw her, my face got paler and paler by the second and my breathing got heavy quickly.
She looked so worried and so did Austin..the last thing I heard and saw before I passed out was Austin's face and Emily saying" I'm so sorry.." I think she said other stuff but I heard nothing but blurred mumbles.
I woke up and checked my phone. It was midnight. Austin was asleep on his desk. It looked like he waited for hours. I looked down and I was changed. I was wearing Austin's hoodie and some shorts I had in my bag.
I crept downstairs where I saw Emily sleeping on the couch "She was waiting for you to wake up. So I assume you are over now? That's a shame but I understand" I jumped to hear a sudden voice. It was Austin's mother "O-Oh hey Mrs. Baker" she smiled and handed me some tea "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you" She sat down and sipped some tea she had
"Do you need to talk?" she smiled at me I nodded with tears in my eyes and talked for a bit about how I thought I liked Emily but it didn't feel right to kiss her or anything. She suggested maybe I didn't like girls at all, because I was bisexual. I said I think she was right and then I talked about how I thought about Austin and how I felt about him. She giggled which made me giggle.
"Thank you Mrs Baker" I smiled "Called me Miranda dear," she said I nodded "Okay Miranda. You like the mother I never had the chance to have.." clearing my throat afterwards "Your mother was a wonderful woman, so kind and thoughtful. She was my best friend. You remind me so much of her. You have her eyes and your dad's smile so sweet and welcoming" what she said made me smile so brightly.
My mom was a vet she died giving birth to me. My father was heartbroken and died because of how much he was heartbroken. I was only 4 with no place to go. So Miranda raised me but I lived with different people. I hated them they were trying to be my parents and trying to replace them. I would always shout at them and get mad. I have mutilated holes in my walls from punching them, it hurt my hands a lot.
I finished my tea and said goodnight to Miranda thanking her for the talk. I went into Austin's room and shut the door. Tears ran down my face as soon as the door was closed. Austin's room was soundproof so no one but him could hear me crying.
Suddenly arms wrapped around me "Shhh it's okay...It's all gonna be okay.." I turned around and hugged Austin. After I had calmed down a bit. He grabbed my legs lifted me and put my legs around his waist and my back was against the wall. He smirked and my face went a bit pink. "I heard what you said in the kitchen" he whispered in my ear my face went bright red and I placed my face on his shoulder and my arms around his neck.
"Forget about it!" I mumbled "Fine I'll put this conversation on hold because you've had a long few hours" he smiled sweetly and we went to sleep
The next few days he was flirty and he wasn't even trying to hide it.
It was December and it's always got supper cold and snowed so Austin gave me his hoodie.
