I was sitting on the second floor of an abandoned warehouse near New York. My informant sent a tip that another shipment was expected tonight, and the buyers might even show up today. My small team of three other arctic foxes waited outside for the shipment to arrive.

This was not the first time that we freed kidnapped girls held by human traffickers, the scenario was already familiar. I sat opposite the entrance to the warehouse used by Betovs with my sniper rifle and waited. I couldn't believe that this warehouse was being used again barely two months after the previous raid. Even then, they believed that they didn't need much firepower to guard defenseless girls. It was the same story again. Those idiots never learned their lesson.

Last time here went down smoothly. The two guards, who had come out to smoke in front of the entrance, hadn't even lit it when their head hit the ground. A third smuggler came out to see what had happened and went down without a yelp. Despite the suppressor, there were still the distinct sounds of gunshots in the abandoned place, but we didn't have to worry about that. There was only one guard left with the girls and he was taken care of immediately when we entered the building.

The girls have since returned safely to their families or we have found them a new home if they could not go back.

Tonight, the situation was a little different, because the van drove right through the door of the warehouse, instead of stopping outside. Not a single guard came to the door, let alone to smoke. At least they learned some of their lessons.

I wondered if it was a trap. Our informant never ratted us out so far but things could change and fast. I asked C for a heat map. The small screen on my left arm showed that, unlike usual, only five figures were moving inside. That meant there were no girls today, but my instinct and let's face it, my curiosity didn't let me rest.

"C, the drone view." I said into the earpiece.

When I saw the overhead view of the room, I froze for a moment. I've never been petrified in these situations before.

"We're going in!" I screamed and started running as fast as I could.
