Baboblueboy's POV

[bold words are them speaking Italian]

The door opened as Maya heard the front door open as she turned on the lamp light and got out of bed as she walked out of her bedroom and saw Carina come in.

"I'm just here to pick up some stuff." Carina said as she walked towards Maya

"I just can't use that hotel shampoo anymore. It's awful." Carina said as she went towards Maya's bedroom.

"You know you can always come home." Maya said as Carina walked to the bathroom

"Where's the shampoo?" Carina said as she ignore Maya's words

"I miss you. I left you a voicemail." Maya said as she watch Carina

"Yea. I got it." Carina said as she left the bedroom and goes towards the living room while Maya watched her

"Did you hear my voicemail?" Maya's voice trembled as Carina didn't look back.

"Yea." Carina goes to the coat closet as Maya continues.

"I know I made mistakes. And I know I scared you. I'm sorry."

"I love you." Maya said as her throat was starting to burn up as she's holding in her tears while standing in the middle of the hallway.

"I'll be better."

"You said that already."

"I mean it. I really do."

"You say that, but do you really?" Carina asked as she walked to see Maya.

"Seeing you like that," Carina's voice cracked.

"In the hospital bed, what you did to yourself. I can't just jump right back into this with you like I didn't spend the greater part of my year begging you to get help!" Carina said, trying to make her point.

"Yeah. I know.. I did things the wrong way because I thought it would help me if I try and figure it out all on my own." Maya said as her tears formed in her eyes.

"I– Sure.. I wanted my captaincy back, but now that I'm getting help, I know what things I need and want now.. And what I want is you and you alone." Maya said as the tears rolled down her cheeks.

"But I don't want you. I... I- I don't want to come back. Knowing what I'm now getting myself into. I just can't come back." Carina said

"So we're breaking up? Getting divorced?" Maya asked as Carina didn't say a thing, but watched Maya's expression.

"Sure... I get it. You hate me." Maya's voice cracked as she slowly backed away, trying not to cry in front of Carina.

"Send me the files then. I'm going back to sleep." Maya said as she turned around and walked to her bedroom.

Meaningless answers, your face

From some point, I didn't want to believe it

I tried looking for some kind of reason in your heart

But each day kept repeating itself

A Month later...

Maya walked downstairs after getting her uniform on as she let out a sigh when she reached the bottom of the staircase, knowing she'll see a certain someone at work. Maya walked towards the barn as everyone was getting the clinic ready at the door way as she heard a deep voice from behind.
