Like the Trollhunters Amulet, the Pendent of Dusk was made to protect Trolls, except it was the complete opposite. The Trollhunter would wield the power of daylight, while the Dusk Knight would wield the power of the night. Complete opposites that were never meant to meet.
The Dusk Knight was supposed to be like a fail safe. If the Trollhunter were to ever fail then the Dusk Night would arise.
The Sad Fact is that the Dusk Knight never got to arise at all. The Pendent's first and last use was during the battle of Killahead Bridge. The First and Last Holder was Y/N L/N.
Rumored to have died during the great battle, and the Pendent lost along with their life... but it's not true. In order to preserve their soul, Merlin, in a last resort, sealed their soul away in the Pendent. They could not die nor live. They were just there. In the dark pocket of the power they used to wield.
Now Centuries later, during an archeology expedition, the Pendent was found and their soul was reawaken.
Yet... they were released out of the Pendent in the form of a baby with no memories of their past? Huh??
