003 Poseidon's Visit

Finally, the day had arrived. Kanon spent much of the night watching movies until sleep finally overcame him around four in the morning. He didn't even realize the moment he fell asleep. The bad news was that his phone was going to ring in just a couple of hours to bring him back to reality.

On the other side of the Temple, Saga and Alfa were able to sleep without any issues and both woke up at 5 am because Saga had to go to the Main Temple to finalize the last details with Shion, and then they would both go to pick up the guests. Alfa didn't really need to wake up so early, but she decided to do so anyway and went to prepare coffee while Saga took a shower. Then she returned to the room to help him get presentable. He could already move his wrist and fingers, but he still had difficulty with fine movements, like buttoning buttons, and that was about to make the older twin exhale a million exasperated sighs every day. Oh well. Alfa had to be the one to button up the man's five thousand buttons on his shirt. Then they both went to the kitchen where they had a light and quick breakfast, and then Saga left via portal to the Main Temple.

A little later, Kanon went to meet Alfa in the kitchen, where she also served him breakfast that Kanon more or less swallowed out of sheer gratitude, not because he was hungry. He had bags under his eyes from a week of not sleeping and didn't look particularly presentable or in a good mood. After picking up the plates, Alfa told him to go shower and get ready while she finished tidying up. Kanon obeyed, and later she also went to get ready. After that, both of them went to the Temple of Aries to pick up their Cloths. Mu and Kiki were already prepared and presentable, handing out Cloths to their friends. Everyone would have Temple duty, which meant they had to stay in the Battle Rooms all the time waiting for the arrival of the god.

Saga opened a portal that took him and Shion to Cape Sounion, where Poseidon would arrive along with his Generals. The older of the twins called Sorrento, with whom he had been communicating, to let him know that they were already there and that they could arrive whenever they wanted. Sorrento hung up the call and looked at his friends, who were already gathered in the underwater Temple, waiting for Poseidon and Thetis.

"Am I the only one who feels like we're about to walk into the lion's den?" Baian asked.

"Let's not start this again. It's a courtesy visit, and Lady Athena really wants both armies to be able to work together harmoniously. Lord Poseidon also believes it's a good idea, and Lord Zeus doesn't want a 'no' for an answer. Please, let's rise to the occasion."

The people present looked at him and sighed resignedly. It was best to hurry through the bad part. In a few more minutes, Poseidon came out with Thetis from the Temple. He looked at all of them.

"The time has come, my Mariners. I want you to behave as expected of you, and I will strive to do the same."

Muffled laughter followed the comment. Then Poseidon ignited his cosmos and transported them to the top of his Temple in Cape Sounion. The radiant burst of energy put both Saga and Shion on high alert. The elder twin knelt beside the Pope as he waited. Even with his head lowered, he could discern the moment when the god and his entourage arrived in front of them. Shion bowed, as did the Mariners when they saw them.

"Welcome, Poseidon. My name is Ares Shion, and I am the Pope of Athena's Sanctuary. It is my duty to escort you," Shion said.

"Shion, I'm glad to see you're back. I haven't had the chance to see you since you returned to life," Julian replied.

At that moment, Saga rose, well aware that the Generals' eyes were fixed on him, and they were probably just waiting for the moment he raised his face to ensure how similar he was to his twin. He looked directly at Poseidon.
