Shy (Anton x Reader)

Every time Anton saw Y/N, he would run away. Y/N never knew why, but they did know that it hurt because they wanted to be Anton's friend but never could because he always ran away.

Y/N sat behind Anton in history class and today was finally the day they got a chance to talk to him. The teacher passed around the attendance paper and Y/N signed it. Anton nervously turned around and Y/N smiled and handed the paper to him.
"T-Thanks," Anton said quickly as he took the paper and turned back around. Y/N frowned. He was friendly to everyone else except for them. But why? Y/N was starting to give up.

But then, a few days later, something happened.

Y/N was taking notes in history class when the teacher made an announcement.
"For your final project, you'll be doing a research paper. I will put you in pairs to get the paper done. First pair is Y/N and....Anton," The teacher said.
Y/N smirked to themself.
Anton nervously turned around.
"Hi..."
"Hi! Would you like to meet at the library later to discuss the project?" Y/N asked.
"Umm okay," Anton replied quietly.

After class, the two headed to the library. Y/N sat next to Anton but Anton moved away.
"Look, I have no idea why you're afraid of me but I'm not going to hurt you. I just want to be your friend," Y/N said.
"You want to be my friend? Why?"
"Because you seem really nice. So, friends?"
Anton thought about it but then nodded shyly. "Friends."
"Great! Now let's get started on the project."
They both started working on the project. But Anton wasn't feeling any better now that he became friends with Y/N. Because he had a secret.....a big secret.
