"Hey ma, looks like everything's good with the other packs"

"Ok, sounds good. Since that's all covered what did you want to do today?" I asked Marcus my 24 year old son, that may sound old-ish but trust me in our world he's still my little boy.

"Can we all go running, we haven't done that as a family in forever" he suggested and that's true we haven't had quality time in a while

"Yeah sure go tell mom and Tracy" I tell him and he walks off with a smile. Ever since the pack has been growing other packs have been wanting a war to show superiority above the rest and that's why we haven't been able to spend time together, we've been busy dealing with the other wolves.

"Hey honey, I heard we're all going on a run later" Amanda says as she walks into my office in our small cabin surrounded by the others owned by different pack members.

"Yeah, we haven't had time to do that lately and that's what Marcus wanted so" I say with a shrug, Amanda smiles as she makes her way over to me and sits on my lap with her arms wrapped around my neck

"Well we better get changed cause I don't think running in jeans is the best option" she says and I look down at my legs to see that I am in fact in jeans

"You're right" I say with a smirk, I stand up making sure I'm holding her and head to our room. We get changed into moveable clothes then head outside to see Marcus and my idiotic best friend

"Took you guys long enough, I was starting to get grey hairs" Tracy teases and I just flip her off

"You guys ready" I say with my signature smirk and they all nod, "Go!!" I yell and with that we are all off running straight towards the lake. Marcus is in front with me right behind him and next to me it's Amanda and Tracy.

After running around and playing a bit of tag we stop by the lake to take a break. I missed being in the woods with my family, even though Amanda's not my mate she sure is an amazing girlfriend. And Tracy is an alright best friend, kidding I love her with all my heart. Marcus my one and only son, he's such a good kid, he has my sarcasm and personality but his moms gentle nature as well as her kindness. I'm glad to say this is the only family I need.

"What's going on in that big head of yours?" Amanda says breaking my trance as Tracy and Marcus play fight in the lake

"Just the good things" I smile then look around the deep dark forest, the tall tress and the little light from the sun peaking through, its calm and beautiful.

"I missed you" she says making me confused

"I've been here the whole time what do you mean?" I ask now facing her

"We've both been busy with the pack, so we've barely spent time together" she elaborates

"Well we will have a lot more time from now on" I say wrapping my arms around her waist

"We better or someone's gonna be in a lot of trouble" she smirks and I smile and lean in and we shear a long passionate kiss

"Ewww, get a room you two" Marcus yells walking up to us, Tracy not too far behind him, and we pull away

"Yeah whatever kid. Let's head back before it gets too dark" I say

"Alright. Race ya!" Tracy yells and starts running and Marcus is quick to follow

"How bout we start our quality time now and walk back" I suggest

"A nice little walk date is nice so sure" Amanda smiles and looks at me with her strong blue eyes, and we start walking

"I think I wanna cut my hair" I randomly say. Right now my hair is down to the middle of my back and i wanna switch things up a bit

"Oh yeah? How short?" She says, she's always been so supportive and that's one of the many things I love about her.

Our walk back was amazing, it was filled with laughter and teasing, as well as soft moments. Today really was a good day.

As we are nearing our little village we notice it's quite, like dead silent besides the animals in the forest. We both look at each other and run to our home.

We stop dead in our tracks when we see dead bodies of a few of our pack members and many injured, we listen and hear grunts and yelling a little into the woods. We run as fast as we can and see Marcus and Tracy fighting as a witch by the name of Alice sits there and watches with an evil grin on her face

"Hey! Stop!" I hell and run in between the two and without hesitation My own son tackles me and starts to choke me. What am I supposed to do he's my son

"He's being controlled you have to stop him" Tracy yells, I kick Marcus off me and prepare to fight

"What did she do to him!" I hear Amanda yell and the pain in her voice breaks my heart, Marcus runs at me and throws punch after punch, I block and dodge most of them but a few made contact with my ribs, I catch his left hook and flip him over my shoulder and pin him down, he shifts into his huge black wolf with some brown, he gets the brown from Amanda, I quickly stand up and look at Alice, well where Alice was, she knows she's not able to take me on.

"Tracy what the hell am I supposed to do?" I yell as the wolf that is my son pounces at me, I jump back but not fast enough and he scratches me across the neck and chest

"I don't know knock him out!" She yells back, I continue to block bites and scratches from my son trying to think of a plan, that's when I loose control of my body, what's happening? I shift into my wolf and pounce on my son, I bite his neck and he lets out multiple sharp whines I try to let go but I can't, I hear Amanda and Tracy telling me to let him go but I just can't. Finally I let go and look my now dead son in his lifeless eyes. I shifted back into my human form and just stand there

"What have you done" Tracy says with hatred and pain in her voice

"You killed our son" Amanda say weekly, I look up at the two and see disappointment and hatred in their eyes. I start running as fast as possible not having a destination, I just killed my own son, as I run my surroundings turn into a dark hallway, I'm forced to stop when I run into Amanda and fall back

"You killed him, you killed our baby boy" I says taking step closer to me, I get up and run in the opposite direction from her and I'm stoped by Marcus

"Ma, you killed me. How could you" I he say with hurt and disgust

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to" I say and repeat myself over and over again

Y/N, Wake up!" Someone says and I jolt up, I start to panic, where am I? What's going on, I look around frantically as my breath is quick I look to my right and see Natasha, ok ok it was a dream, calm down

"Hey hey hey, it's okay, breathe just breathe" Nat's soothing voice flows through my ears and I start to calm down. That dream... that's not how it happened, not that I remember, I haven't had that nightmare since I moved to New York. Why now?

"You wanna talk about it" She asks with worry in her eyes and a gentle touch to my cheek

"Not tonight. I'm sorry I didn't mean to wake you up, what time is it?" I ask look in her tired eyes

"It's 3:47. Baby I've told you there is no need to apologize, it's nothing to worry about" she reassured me and I give her a weak smile

"Let's go back to sleep yeah?" She says laying down, I nod and lay my head on her chest and listen to her heart beat, she wraps her arms around me firmly and I do the same, as I lay there I listen to her and the baby's heartbeat as well as her breath which becomes steady indicating she has fallen asleep.

I should go to sleep too but do I? Nope.
