As the young man, Joshua, worked for what felt like hours since around nine in the morning, he felt almost as if his skin would fall off at any moment.
The world outside was a blur, as Joshua hadn't left his apartment all day. Joshua looked up from his empty page, his eyes slowly adjusting to the light outside of his apartment. His head felt heavy and his fingers ached from typing. A sigh escaped his lips, and he knew he needed a break. Rising from his chair, he walked to the door and opened it, greeted by a surprise. His old friend, Vernon.
Joshua hadn't seen Vernon in.. god knows how long. They were friends in high school, but eventually grew apart because Vernon went to be in a band and Joshua had left for college. But, they still had that bond that they had as teenagers.
"It's been a while dude, what's up?" Vernon asked. Joshua smiles and nods gently.
The two chatted about their lives and what had been missed. Vernon had gotten a girlfriend, their friends Minghao and Junhui had moved back to China together, Seungcheol had a wife and a kid, and Wonwoo had moved back to his hometown Changwon. It had been a while since the 13 boys had hung out together, and Joshua wasn't expecting it to happen.
After a few hours of talking, drinking, and eating, Vernon went home. Joshua sat on his couch, staring at a wall. He felt as if he was lost. Lost? Lost in what though? That he didn't know.
His eyes drooped slightly, the long day tired him. As he ran his fingers through his hair, he let out a light sigh. He didn't know if he'd even finish the album. But, atleast he got to spend some time with a friend, right?
As nightfall arose above his small apartment, he ran the showr and headed to bed. Despite the long and tiring day, Joshua had a feeling something good would arrive tomorrow. But to see what it truly is, he'd have to be patient.
He slowly fell asleep, adjusting himself to become comfortable.
