So, ever wonder how things came to be? Why the sky is blue, why do cows 'moo', why is the sea salty, and why I have four fingers on my right hand while only three fingers on my left hand? No, just me? Well anyway, that's beside the point. In a world called 'Excretus,' a group, or should I say, two races have the answer to those questions.

My name is Crimson Black, and today, I just found out where I came from, and now I'm sharing the mythology of that world. Be warned though, the story I'm about to tell you has lots of versions, or more specifically two versions from two cultures, one version is from the people who call themselves the 'Silvas,' and the other, the 'Harenas.' And these two don't have a good history with each other, which you'll see later on. And I'm just going to tell you the ones that make the most sense to me. So, before we get into the creation story of this world, let me give you a short summary on what these two groups are.

The Silvas are forest people that live in the massive eastern jungle called 'Silvinous.' These guys have spotted cyan skin and hands for feet, which they use to traverse through their jungle home. The name 'Silva,' in their native tongue means; "Children of the forest" or "Moon children." And they worshiped a moon goddess, more on her later. The Harenas, on the other hand, call them 'Puronau,' in their language it means; "Ghost of the forest," "Phantom of the woods," or "Tree spirits." The Silvas have this hunter and gatherer society, with different tribes living near a large river, the name of the river is hard to pronounce so I'm not even going to try to say it, but it means, in their language as; "The great river" or "The river of life."

The Harenas are desert dwellers that live in the western great desert, 'Hara

The Harenas are desert dwellers that live in the western great desert, 'Hara.' Unlike their forest counterparts, these guys have digitigrade long legs, and long tails, which they use to traverse through their desert home, and are useful whenever they are hunting. The name 'Harena' means; "Sun walker," or "Sand Tamer" in their language. And these guys worship a water god, and you'll know him later. The Silvas though, they call them 'Vervloekten,' which means, in their tongue; "Sand demons," or "Desert Devils." Yeah, these two do NOT like each other. The Harenas are a nomadic tribe, constantly roaming the desert wherever water is plentiful. And they're kinda like the Spartans of this world, but not too much. One tribe actually built their homes in the middle of the desert where the only largest body of water is located, and would later become a city and a place where people trade. The oasis was named, again the word is too hard to pronounce but it means; "Water of life."

So, these two seem to have somewhat similar lifestyles, well, specifically living near large bodies of waters

So, these two seem to have somewhat similar lifestyles, well, specifically living near large bodies of waters. And you're probably curious as to why these two don't get along. And no, not in the way you think, not because of different culture or different beliefs, but it's actually because of their gods. But to know why that is, let's start from the beginning.
