Chapter 3

Kankri POV
It's been a week since I met Cronus and we've been getting closer each day that passed. I haven't told anyone yet about him, in fear of putting him at risk of getting killed. However Karkat has grown some suspicion with my frequent abcences to the beach but, I believe he won't ask anything...Hopefully. Speaking about beaches I am currently on my way now to see Cronus, I've grown to trust him too a bit; he hasn't tried anything fishy so far and has obeyed my requirements that I have befriending others. I quickly get dress and head to the door, only to be interrupted by a loud, annoyed voice. "Where are you going this time the beach I presume? You've been going there everyday what's up with that?" I froze, "What? Since when is where I go any of your concern?" I said; my back still turned to him. "Oh I don't know, maybe it's because you've been going to the same fucking place since we got here." For the first time of my life I had no idea how to respond, I mean he IS telling the truth. "Look Karkat, it shouldn't matter to you where I go and why so mind your own business." I said in a very harsh tone; leaving the house.

I had found a quite large rock I can sit on so that I don't have to stay in the cold, salty water when I see Cronus. I always arrive a bit early to see him since I don't know how time works with his species but, I usually don't wait too long, fortunetly. He arrives in about 10 minutes after I come to see him. Lately though, it would feel like hours as I get more and more eager to see him, which I can't explain why I am. Maybe cause the fact that he's a comepletly new species that I've never knew existed and grown up learning it was just a fairy tale.

3rd POV
Cronus shot his head out of the water, splashing Kankri in the process. Kankri shot him a glare as Cronus gave him a small smile and a wave; unaware of what he did. "Hey chief howvs it been?" Cronus said in a cheerful tone "Hello Cronus, I've been quite "well", and you?" Kankri said playing a bit with the water "It's been good but, nowv it's evwen better wvith you around." Kankri blushed alittle and looked up at him, a bit wide eyed. "Oh Cronus don't say such things." Kankri quickly said, now avoiding eye contact "Wvhat? I'm just being honest, you embarrassed or somfin?" Kankris' blush darkened "No, I'm not. Why in the world would I be embarrassed overva simple compliment?" Cronus chuckled "Wvoah there no need to get worked up." Kankri huffed while the seadweller continued to laugh.

Cronus POV
I think I'm fallin' for this guy I dont know...he's just so perfect I mean everything about him is incredible. His smile, his hair, his intense brown eyes I can't get enough of- ugh its frustrating
I just met the guy a few days ago. "So uh wvhen did ya come here?" "I came about two weeks ago with my brother, Karkat." Woah this kid got a brother? "Since wvhen did you havwe a brother?" "Since I was three years old." He said rolling his eyes. "Cool I gotta bro of my owvn but I don't see em often." "What a shame that must be." Heh more like a miracle. " I'm sorry but I must go, Karkat must be wondering why I've been gone for awhile. I'll see you tomorrow." He said as he got up then started to swim away waving, I waved back.
